Valletta Bastions Seafront House

Spectacular view from the top floor! Excellent location just 5-7 min walk to the tourist hustle. Comfortable beds and all possible appliances and equipment. Stylish vintage details give a chic vibe to the place.

Some planning was needed to switch air conditioners on and off for power grid reasons, but the host is communicative and helping so things worked well in the end.

It's a huge house set over 3 levels plus a roof terrace so plenty of space. It's a lovely traditional town house and the furnishings and decor are in keeping with the property's character. The house is very well equipped but it's'party piece really is the tremendous views across St Elmo's fort and out to sea. Enjoyed from the terrace or the rooftop. It's mesmerising day and night. The property is in a great location too and easily walkable to lots of bars, restaurants and attractions throughout Valletta.

Needs some tlc in terms of some of the broken or tired furniture. Also, some of the doors and windows. Some either don't close properly or lock. This means it's drafty and the traffic noise in the master bedroom is constant. Very hard back breaking beds. The steep concrete steps throughout the property. Completely understand it's the nature of these traditional houses which are composed of multiple floors. Even for the fit and sure footed they are scary and need due care and attention every time you go up and down. The house wouldn't be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. A handyman for a week could make this house absolutely incredible.

Great location for us as it was close to the swimming area and to the center. The two terraces allowed for great views.

We were there for a week so we didn’t want to eat out every meal. The overhead kitchen lights didn’t work so it was very hard to cook. Many of the pans were grungy. There were no kitchen towels or pot holders. Some of the furnishings were in bad shape. The armoire in the double bed room doesn’t close if you hang clothes in it, plus the top of it is not attached. The place in general is not as attractive as depicted in the pictures. Nonetheless, there was ample space for 5 adults. I would not recommend it for children as the stairs are treacherous. I would remove the odd, old and unnecessary decor ( broken rusted chair on top deck, curtain rods with rings but no curtain, candle holder on its side in window etc.)

The location is incredible and the views are exactly as advertised. There are approximately 15 free parking bays within 20 metres of the front door which I successfully parked in on each of our four day stay. It’s a ten minute walk to hit vallettas restaurant area which is not strenuous as had my 78 year old mother with me. Absolutely outstanding views of fort Elmo whose perimeter wall is literally ten metres from the balcony. The balcony is a quarter in shade all day which is bliss and it benefits from the sea breeze 24/7. Awesome property.

Everything was perfect and despite previews reviews regarding hot water etc these issues have clearly been resolved as at mid June ‘25.
