Stylish Modern Apartment Central Manchester

The location was very ideal for me to do my morning and evening walk to/from my place of work safely while I'm up there for work. The Tesco Express shop was very convenient. Quirky apartment where you have an open plan kitchen-diner-lounge downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs within an apartment. It was a very interesting layout. Nice tall windows overlooking the city and the outskirts, and you get to see the new buildings going up. The ability to open windows was a plus; I like to get fresh air in. If this apartment were cleaned to the expected standards, then yeah, I'd give it a high score, but please read what I didn't like below.

The surrounding area is in the process of renovation (which is fine); however, the walls of other key locks are in a mess, unorganised, along with rubbish and lots of fly-tipping around it didn't leave me with a good impression. Took me a while to find the keypad lock to retrieve the key I needed to gain access to the building and the apartment. It'd have been easier to collect the keys inside the building. Once I'm in, I hope it'll be a better experience. Disappointingly, the apartment had not been cleaned thoroughly, with rubbish, dust (and chewing gum left behind), a dirty oven, dishwasher, and sponges, with holes in the walls and broken towel railings. The only clean thing (I hope!) was the bedding and the microwave, which I stuck to using that as I did not want to clean the oven out for them, while forking out £200 holding a refundable security deposit, which was not mentioned on the listing, along with in-depth ID checks. The showers were not hot; the only hot water I got was from the sink in the kitchen. I saw a receipt on the floor by the stained sofa and saw that there was hidden rubbish and crumbs underneath it = dirty floor. So I took it upon myself to move them back to where they should've been, according to the photos, and used the hoover that was left in the apartment to clean up. I have sent several images to the host to ensure that I don't lose my £200 deposit, and have made them aware of the issues in case they were not aware. The quality of the stay has completely fallen so short with that in mind. I've also asked for a partial refund, but to date, I've not heard from them, so I'm writing this review.

The host neglected to mention that on arrival you have 2 options (or they won't release info on where apt/key is located) either £53 non refundable or £200 refundable deposit for wear and tear. There was no mention of this on booking.com which they agreed was correct. Had I known this I would have booked a different apt which i had shortlisted a few of. We went for this because it was slightly more reasonable but when you factor in the extra money it was less of a good deal. Naturally we opted for the lesser amount as are fully aware you wouldn't get either amount back. I spoke to someone who just kept telling me I had to pay it,I explained it's extorting money out of people with no mention of it before and they said someone would call me back,which they never did. I've stayed numerous times in Manchester and have always had a fab experience but this was awful. Not to mention the money they take for wear and tear is not spent on the place,as others have said it needs some serious maintenance work,holes in wall, dishwasher broken,1 glass so sipping wine from a mug! 3 plates for the 4 of us. 2 double beds as advertised,however small doubles so 4ft,my children are both teenagers so we were aware they wouldn't be sharing but figured one could stay on the sofa but there is one sofa,a 2 seater,so we all just sat at the dining table for most of the time and they took it in turns to sleep on a very small sofa. In the past we've been spoilt when we stayed at the James,it's luxurious but sadly they now only rent for months at a time. This apartment is so far from luxurious and I just feel that they hide costs without mentioning beforehand until you're there,hours away from home with no choice but to pay it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE

Location was perfect as we came to visit a relative in long term care at Saint Mary's hospital so just 10 min drive away. Kids liked the layout, bedroom windows overlooking the living area, Nice tvs and multiple bathrooms.

Was advertised as having free parking locally which is one of the reasons which chose this apartment but couldn't find any free parking locally. The carpark in front is £7 per day which isn't bad and cheaper one £5 2 min walk away. Flat needs some work doing and fixing in some areas and maybe a lick of paint to spruce it up a little.

Location was good but the toilet seat was broken and the toilet locks was bit tight and the towels was unclean. Flooring wasn’t moped it’s hard dirt on it Bedsheet n bed was unclean. Someone left there beer on the fridge and some stuff, it’s had bad smell. When we got asked in.

The towel, toilet seat was broken Beds wasn’t comfortable the pillow wasn’t comfortable too. The door hook was broken. One other lift wasn’t working hab to wait longer for lift

La ubicación y comodidad en el apartamento. Y estaba limpio.

No me gustó que decía que tenia aire acondicionado y realmente No tienes, no tiene ventilador y no tiene secadora. No debe mentir sobre eso. El apartamento estaba muy lindo y organizado. Realmente debe ser más simple decir la verdad para no tener que lidiar con comentarios negativos. De igual forma volvería pero estaré más preparada.
