Vila Castro

The house had everything you could need for a fantastic holiday. It really felt like home and was in a great central location for attractions/amenities. Parking was very good and the pool was great for a quick dip after a busy day. The hosts were lovely people, very communicative and wanted to make sure we were having a great time.

Beautiful place with 3 rooms with comfortable beds and ensuite bathroom for group of 6 adults. Great that we could barbecue and take a dip in the lovely pool. Very well received by Patricia. Easily accessible and quick to give tips. Ideal place to visit western Madeira.

Challenging steep road to get there, though. But that is peculiar to Madeira. It is not possible to start a walk from the vila, everything is best done by car.

Exceptionally clean indoors and out! The pool area is beautiful and private. You are quite close to a number of other properties but the screening is excellent. You have a local supermarket about 200m from the house and Calheta marina with its many restautants and a pingo doce is only a 5 min drive from the property too. We were really lucky with the weather and made the most of all the lovely outdoor furniture. There is a parking spot which belongs to the property.

Pool was lovely and the property was impeccable. Newly installed AC during a couple hit days was very appreciated! Host was lovely and accommodating.
