Tsuru Villa

tolle Lage, etwas abgelegen, wunderschön in der Natur und perfekt zum entspannen. der Hauswart war super nett und hat sehr lecker zum Abendessen gekocht.

Die Zimmer verfügen leider über keine Klimaanlage, was den Aufenthalt für uns aufgrund der Hitze nahezu unerträglich gemacht hat. Zudem wirkt die gesamte Anlage eher ungepflegt und war insgesamt sehr schmutzig. Besonders im Badezimmer hatten wir ein großes Problem mit Ameisen – es befanden sich dutzende davon im Badmöbel, wo sie sich offenbar ein Nest eingerichtet hatten. Zusätzlich waren zwei Eidechsen in unserem Zimmer. Das ist sehr schade, denn an sich hat die Unterkunft eine tolle Lage und viel Potenzial. Das Frühstück (Zmorgen) bestand aus einem einfachen englischen Frühstück. Über die Unterkunft haben wir eine Safari nach Udawalawe gebucht. Die Anfahrt dauert etwa 45 Minuten, wofür wir zusätzlich ein Tuk-Tuk nehmen mussten. Der Fahrer holte uns um 5 Uhr morgens ab – allerdings mit leerem Tank. In der nächstgrößeren Stadt wollte er tanken, doch alle Tankstellen waren noch geschlossen. Daher mussten wir bis etwa 6 Uhr warten, bevor es weitergehen konnte, wodurch sich die Anreise zum Nationalpark deutlich verzögerte. Zum Glück hat unser Jeep auf uns gewartet. Die Safari selbst war großartig und sehr empfehlenswert – das hat allerdings nichts mit der Unterkunft zu tun. Ursprünglich hatten wir zwei Nächte gebucht, die zweite Nacht jedoch storniert. Dies verlief unkompliziert über die Agentur. Preis-Leistung stimmt unserer Meinung nicht überein.

It is a beautiful place, really calm and a little oasis far from everything. We were glad to not have stayed in the tourist spot near the Udawalwe National Park. You just have to know that the last 200 m of the road to the acoomodation is really, really bumpy and that getting or going from there by tuktuk might take some time. But the view across the lake, the calm and green surrounding and the space with a lounge and balcony was worth it for us. The pool is smaller than it might seem on the photos and the house more basic than you might expect from the photos but for us it was perfect and especially regarding the price for a family it was excellent! We spent our last 2 nights of the trip there and were very happy with it, for the kids it was a bit of an adventure, especially at night.

The property was beautiful in the middle of no where and was a perfect place to relax! It’s so peaceful, with a nice pool and we had a spacious room. Sameera, our host literally went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. He made us a fantastic homemade Sri Lankan meal and made us feel really welcome. Thank you!

The only thing was that the place did not have AC, so it could get a little warm. If did have fans but this was quite noisy when we were trying to sleep.

A stunning location - great to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature overlooking the lake. Lots of different birds. So peaceful to sit and let the sun go down. The rooms are well appointed. A very delicious home cooked dinner.

I had a great stay but the breakfast can be improved.

Location is perfect,villa is new,stylish and very clean. Rooms are perfect and you can feel yourself like home. Truly unforgettable jungle experience.

Tsuru Villa is the perfect place for a relaxing stay. The peaceful location right by the lake creates a wonderful atmosphere, ideal for enjoying nature. The pool is beautiful and perfect for relaxation. The staff is really friendly and helpful, they are doing everything they can to make the stay unforgettable. Another highlight: the villa helps in organizing a safari. All in all, a highly recommended accommodation! We had a great time ☺️

The place is unique, the staff incredibly kind, the chef is cooking the best food we had during our trip. A small paradise
