Everything was excellent

It surprised me on the upside, was clean, comfortable, and the perfect hapfway stop over. Anneke was the perfect host and I recommend the braai pack option.

If you beed a hideaway from the rush and looking for tranquility, then this is your place! Our extremely comfortable and spacious unit was perfectly designed and was spotlessly clean! Anneke, the owner, was so helpful and made us feel very comfortable. They offer a yummy braai-pack for the supper and the lamb chops in the pack was the best lamb chops ever! Above all, there was one moment that I think we will never forget for the rest of our lives! If you happen to stay there one day, please step outside the unit at night time (switch of all the lights if any) and look up! It’s pitch blackness around you and we felt like we were in a space ship, sailing in the middle of the Milky Way! You can trace all the satellites, moving left right and center with bare eye! We were also lucky to see two shooting stars (was one of the meteor shower periods of the year). It was a peerless experience!!

Modern, new, with crisp white linen and fluffy white towels. Everything you can think of to make your overnight stay a memorable one. The host was super friendly. The braai pack was delicious. The surroundings quiet and serene with the most beautiful stars you will ever see! This is a must to visit on your way between Cape Town and inland! Wow! Cant wait to come back!

Everything was perfect perfect!

I had the pleasure of staying at South Merino Guestfarm near Richmond on my travels between Johannebsurg and Cape Town, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The location is beautiful, nestled in a peacefull Karoo farm The accommodations were immaculate and tastefully decorated, providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities one could need, including a well-appointed en-suite bathroom. What truly sets South Merino Guestfarm apart is the outstanding hospitality of the hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable The breakfast was fresh and great — a perfect start to the day. I highly recommend South Merino Guestfarm to anyone seeking a memorable and delightful stay on their travels or a few days in the Karoo

South Merino is luxurious - beautifully designed and decorated, with comfortable beds, a generous shower and great attention to detail. We were also lucky to have a dark night because the star gazing on the farm is amazing! Although close to the N1, is very quiet at South Merino guest farm and we slept very well. The farm is also very safe and secure. We chose the option of Karoo lamb pie and salad for supper - it was delicious and much appreciated after a long day on the road. We also ordered ham and cheese croissants as padkos and really enjoyed them. Our hostess, Anneke, also very kindly tracked down Karoo lamb for us to take home with us, for which we are extremely grateful. We will definitely be back.

Teenagers hoping to be on their phones or devices all night will be disappointed to discover that there is not much signal. It's a great plus for parents who want their kids to experience life without devices though ;-). Just be sure to tell your family you have arrived safely before you enter the farm gates in case there is no cellphone signal.
