Cozy Heaven

De allerbeste homestay waar wij hebben verbleven in Sri Lanka. De gastvrijheid kon niet beter. Het gezin was ongelofelijk lief en sprak vloeiend Engels. We werden meegenomen in de omgeving wat geweldig was, er werd heerlijk voor ons gekookt. Zou dit zeker aanraden!! Wij zijn meegenomen naar theeplantages en de natuur in. Ze organiseren echt tours die totaal niet toeristisch zijn en er wordt over alles nagedacht. Ook toen wij problemen hadden met onze tuktuk stonden ze voor ons klaar en hebben ze ons een hele dag geholpen. Echt beste verblijf van Sri Lanka!

Nous avons apprécié l'accueil et le petit déjeuner et le repas du soir même si le prix du repas était un peu plus cher qu'ailleurs au Sri Lanka.

L'emplacement est un peu loin du centre et pas très calme. Nous avons été réveillés par le jour et par le bruit. La vue de la chambre est face à la montagne mais aussi sur des bâtiments délabrés et des garagistes.

La casa está lejos del centro. El transporte no es gratuito. La cena y las bebidas en la casa, opcional, son excesivamente caras

Cozy Heaven is a short tuk tuk ride from the centre of Nuwara Eliya, making it the perfect base for exploring this area. We arrived by train and our host, Sanjaya, met us at the station and took us to Cozy Heaven. At the moment, there is only one guest room which has a very comfortable large double bed. The ensuite bathroom has everything you need with plenty of hot water in the shower. It has a large balcony with a panoramic view of the mountains and Lovers' Leap waterfall is clearly visible. The whole family helped to make our stay as comfortable as possible and provided us with a wonderful and tasty breakfast. We decided to take our evening meal with the family and had a very delicious and plentiful meal with a selection of curries with rice followed by a dessert of curd and honey. The family speak fluent English and we really enjoyed our conversations with Shaveendi and Shaveen. We stayed for one night to break up the train journey, but there is so much to see in the area, we could have easily spent two days there. Nuwara Eliya get really cold at night, but we were cosy and comfortable, as warm blankets were provided. This is a very quaint and charming accommodation.

Hele vriendelijke familie. Er is maar 1 kamer en je zit bij de mensen thuis. Wij hebben er echt genoten. Ze regelde voor ons een taxi voor een eerlijke prijs van het station. Zo hoefde we niet in die chaos een taxi te regelen. Ook heeft die chauffeur ons meegenomen op een leuke tour naar een waterval en theefabriek. Uitzicht vanaf je balkon op lover's leap waterval. Heerlijk gegeten zowel ontbijt als avondeten(tegen betaling)

Het ligt een stukje buiten de stad, maar dat wisten wij al vooraf.

We had a wonderful stay at Cozy Heaven. The family is really nice and helped us a lot ! We felt at home. Accommodation is perfect, specially with the balcony.

Camera carina, pulita e con un delizioso balconcino che dà sulla valle. Questa famiglia ci ha accolto nella loro casa con una dolcezza unica. Ci hanno preparato una cena e una colazione ottimi, abbiamo anche ottenuto il loro aiuto per un paio di spostamenti e in particolare per un tour tra Kandy e Nuwara Eliya. Consiglio vivamente questa soluzione nella cittadina, grazie di tutto!!!

L'accoglienza, l'ospitalità, la stanza molto carina. La famiglia vale il viaggio, la figlia è gentilissima e dolcissima è stato molto bello parlare con lei e la mamma. Abbiamo cenato da loro, un ottimo kutti, colazione ricca e buona. Il padre ci ha accompagnato in stazione. Raccomandare 1000 volte!

The family made us feel very welcome. They picked us up from the train station and gave us a lot of information about Nuwara Eliya. Dinner was lovely and their son told us a lot about Sri Lanka which was very nice. Overall the stay was pleasant and lovely. We had some troubles with our train tickets and the owner helped us get new tickets. They are really lovely! Would definitely recommend.
