SILVER RAIL

Very nice people! Room clean and big. Room is 5 minutes tuktuk to the main turistic streets.

La família ens ha acollit molt bé, ajudant-nos a trobar sopar, a aparcar el tuk tuk, ens han ofert menjar per endur gratuïtament, l’esmorzar era d’allò més complert! Tant que no ens l’hem pogut ni acabar… L’habitació és àmplia, còmode, està neta, i malgrat tenir les vies del tren al costat, el qual no ens ha molestat gens, recomanem molt aquest allotjament!

Great big room, very clean suitable for a family

The trains are so loud and ran throughout the night, beeping their horns, woke us ub several times.

We had a really wonderful stay at Silver Rail. The room was very big and very comfortable. The family who runs it was so welcoming, they offered us tea and a delicious breakfast. They even showed us how to make the pancakes we loved so that we can try to make them at home later 😋The location was good, we could walk to the Fort everyday. Thank you so much for your hospitality! :)

The location is wonderfully convenient, close to the Galle railway station (making it easy to come and go). It’s a pleasant 20-minute walk to the Fort area, which we enjoyed, especially after a hearty meal. The room is spacious and impeccably clean, with the entire top floor to ourselves. The balcony offers a breezy view of the railway tracks lined with palm trees, adding a nice touch of local charm. We slept so well in the comfortable beds with fresh sheets, and enjoyed the occasional sound of passing trains - a beautiful part of the Sri Lankan experience. The host family was incredibly kind and helpful. Their small kiosk on the ground floor was a handy addition! We also had our laundry done during our stay which is a life saver… Thank you Silver Rail for the truly relaxing experience!

Everything was perfect!

Location was great and the room we stayed in was very spacious and clean. Hot water was available and a/c working perfectly. The hosts were very kind and helpful, they also have a store right beneath the rooms so very convenient.

I had an awesome stay at Silver Rail! The family who runs the place is very kind and thoughtful. The room is spacious and very clean and the location is only about 20min walk to Galle Fort which was perfect! It’s also cool that it’s so close to the Railway - it’s not disturbing because the trains don’t run during the night. Would definitely recommend to stay at Silver Rail.
