Delek Tulum

Quelques jours avant notre arrivée, il nous a été notifié que la piscine était en maintenance et donc pas utilisable.

The hotel is perfectly located at the beach, high class. The staff is friendly and the food very good. But also considering the big downside (see below) the hotel is much too pricy. Knowing the below issue we would not go back to Tulum. There are enough alternatives, e.g. west coast of Cozumel or Isla Mujeres.

Tulum was the highest pricing tourist area we have been to on our roundtrip. This would be probably ok if you are lying at a dreamy sandy beach. But reality is much different: Although it was outside of seaweed season, huge masses of seaweed had been pushed onto the beach and was covering a big part of the water. It smelled very unpleasant and it was impossible to swim. You could say, this is nothing what the hotel can do about. It maybe can not fix the original problem (climate change) or can not force the neighbour hotels to clean their part better, but alltogether they probably can do more: can protect the coastline with barriers (as we have seen in Playa del Carmen) or can clean the beach with bigger machinery (which we have seen in Cancun). I feel really sorry for them, but they need to do more than now. This is really a business threat. One more thing: While swimming in the sea was not possible they closed the pool for maintenance (bad timing).

La amabilidad de todo el personal, excelente atención desde la llegada en recepción por parte de Karen, restaurante, cocina, bar, hasta el personal de la caseta a la salida.

We didn't like anything, there is a lot to improve and most importantly, don't make a mistake when booking, because the place is not at all worthy of a stay.

We had a different expectation from the hotel, it is very difficult that there is no pool in the hotel, renovations and endless noise overhead, the taps are full of mold and not sterile with a taste of salt water and you can't brush your teeth with them in the morning and even in the shower the same water. Apart from the reception and service which was perfectly fine and everyone was nice, the stay was very bad.

Difficult to highlight something. Staff were exceptional. The amenities has described. The experiences provided by Delek were amazing. Location exceptional. Some reviews complain about the noise, but for us was easy to adapt.

If I have to complain about anything, was the body lotion - to difficult to spread out 😅

This place was gorgeous, it was a wonderful experience staying there. The staff (Catalina in particular) were really wonderful too, the location was perfect, the pool was lovely, the restaurant was great too.

Nothing about the property itself. We went during the wet season (July-Aug) so there was a tonne of seaweed on the beach which means you can't really use it. And there literally is nothing around that is budget-friendly. But as I said, this is a Tulum thing, not a Delek thing :)
