Casa Urbano

I travelled in a group of six and we had a fantastic stay at Casa Urbano. The property was outstanding with plenty of room for all to relax comfortably. The highlights were the large kitchen and terrace which allowed for fantastic social nights in. The location is also 10/10 and provides easy access to everything you want to visit in Taormina’s township. The managers (Luca and Cristian) were great at communicating before, during, and after our stay. I would definitely recommend Casa Urbano and would revisit myself.

My only comment would be the kitchen utensils were slightly limited for such a large kitchen. We managed, but parties that are looking to take full advantage of the cooking might find it challenging. No issue for those looking to enjoy the available restaurants.

I loved that it was clean and was in a great location . Luca was very thorough in going over Information . Felt safe to stay with my family . We had everything we needed .

The parking . So I thought when booking we would be able to pay the 30 a night as stated on the reservation. I paid way more than that and was disappointed with that service . I definitely felt like I had no choice but to go with the service that was provided . Just do your research on parking prior to coming there are other options .

The home is very spacious. Kitchen was well stocked. Location is perfectly located in the heart of town. Luca is the perfect host; he is accommodating, gave us great restaurant recommendations, and went out of his way to assist us in making tour and driver reservations. One member of our group forgot sunglasses at a restaurant and we had already left the country. Luca drove to the restaurant, retrieved the glasses and offered to mail it to us.

Just as a heads up, there is not a ground floor bedroom. All four bedrooms are upstairs on the second level. If you have an elderly traveler, it may be difficult to go up and down stairs multiple times a day. Beds were too firm for me as a side sleeper. Would have been nice to have a mattress topper. Being in the center of town, it may be noisier from the night activity but quiets down after restaurants close.

A wonderful, large house, with an excellent location in the heart of Taormina. We had all the comforts and the host Luca is very welcoming and gave valuable tips on places to visit around. We had exceptional help from him, even when our rental car from Catania broke down and he provided a bus for our whole family.

WiFi didn’t work the entire week we were there. They kept telling us it was because of fires in the area but none of our neighbors or surrounding businesses had any issues. The host agreed to compensate us because we had to purchase internet services elsewhere for five people in order to work remotely, but then backed out. They said it was because we had already gotten the property for a good deal…even though we never asked for any sort of discount when we booked and have no control over what it is listed at. We paid for a property with WiFi but that was not what we received. The host refused to address the problem. Poor customer service.
