Casa Urbano

Perfect location, we easily walked everywhere in the town of Taormina. The villa had everything we needed: beautiful, clean, excellent condition, everything worked in it, Wi-Fi great, always felt safe. The host was wonderful… he was very proactive, gave us recommendations on restaurants and places to visit (we really liked what he recommended). We were 5 women traveling together, and had 2 rental cars that the host picked up from us, parked in a safe place, and then returned to us as we were leaving.

We would’ve liked a few more towels per person, but I think that’s an American thing lol

Casa Urbano is a gorgeous villa in an ideal location of Taormina. It can sleep seven people comfortably and have everything you could need to be relaxed and comfortable. Our host, Luca, was very responsive, accessible and helpful. I will certainly return to the villa on my next visit to Sicily. Further, we rented Casa Urbano very last minute and the host and home were in perfect order.

My family and I had zero problems with the villa or the host.

typical Sicilian house very well preserved and full of character. comfortable, well equipped, spacious and with a great rooftop. location couldn’t be better. close enough to the Main Street but without the need to climbing stairs to get there. great communication with the host.

only thing when we use the shower at the same time, the water pressure reduces a bit.

We traveled as a family of two adults and two children. The house is ideally situated in the heart of Taormina with shops, restaurants and sights being round the corner. Nevertheless you do not get much of the noise of a town that was full of people during our stay. There are plenty of rooms for all purposes (living room, dining room etc). As another guest has mentioned the ground floor does not get much daylight but we did not expect anything else in the typical narrow streets of a very old town. The four bedrooms were real separate rooms with quite comfortable beds. The kitchen was well equipped. Overall everything is quite clean. The highlight of the house is the roof terrace that we used a lot. The host (Luca) was very kind and offered very practical help and advice (incl. organising tours and parking) prior to arrival and during the entire stay. So very much worth to get into contact in advance.

Great central location and Luca was very helpful with arranging a car for us and sending us recommendations for places to eat and see. Has enough of everything you need to make coffee and cook small meals as needed which was very helpful traveling with a toddler. wonderful rooftop terrace.

a few small eccentricities that I guess are just normal with Italian buildings but nothing that would be a dealbreaker. for example - make sure you have an adaptor socket since the Italian plug seems to be different from other standard EU plugs I’ve used. it’s thinner prongs. there are a few adaptors in the apartment in case your appliances don’t plug in.
