"Comfortable stay, not amazing value"

Room was comfortable and quiet. Close to the bus station (but taxi still required). Front desk staff were reasonably friendly.

Didn’t reflect its 5 stars in terms of amenities (no mini-fridge, etc.) It was also a bit of a trek to the center of town. A bit more expensive than it was worth.

"They canceled my confirmed reservation at 10:30pm while I was en route, on a plane."

I had a confirmed reservation guaranteed with a credit card. I had informed them I would be arriving between 11pm and midnight, and they confirmed that was fine, in writing. At 10:30pm, while I was still on a plane, they emailed and texted me that they canceled the reservation. They said they had a new policy due to some people disputing their charges. I made my reservation weeks in advance and was never asked to pay in advance. It was unacceptable to cancel my guaranteed reservation under these circumstances.
