MANGO LODGE

The restaurant area and the porch outside the room were magnificent. The people working there were terrific.

The room was hot because electricity was sporadic so the fan and lights didn’t always work.

My stay at Mango Lodge was impeccable. The place is ideal for couples or solo travellers looking for an authentic stay with a local vibe. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there is plenty of common areas to relax. The manager is super nice and will make you feel at home. The owners are the same as Cajou Lodge and will be very happy to help organising activities during your stay. Worth checking in advance because the availability of boat transports may depend on the period and the day. On a higher price range, the other property (Cajou Lodge) is the nicest place on the island. Super new, nice swimming pool, nice view, decorated with great taste, and they have a great chef.

Location is not far from the ferry pier on the one of main streets. The personal is very amable and helpful. The hotel area is nice, there is a small restraunt the cook could serve you at your request.

Blackouts would happen. Wifi is only in the lobby. Hot water is absent.

Room was OK, stay generally felt OK but not memorable (could easily be made into one), staff very polite and friendly. Space has wonderful potential

The place sells itself at bare minimum despite it's great potential to be the cool spot for budget travellers. Light bulbs not working so we could not use outside at night, only one of the two rooms was cleaned (my friend was unhappy that the room was opened when there was no safe in the room), breakfast OK, (overpriced for what one gets), the system needs to be upgraded from handnotes to something more reliable (we had to remind staff of things we ordered that we were almost not charged for). Please install mosquito nets♡

It's a lovely budget place, in a quiet central location, just away from the port, there are quite a few power cuts and resulting water cuts ( because the pump needs electricity to pump), WiFi was not working when I was there, staff are very good hearted, but payment was not easy so I went to Cajou Hotel and paid directly to Mimi who runs both places, she's really kind and helpful..
