The Haybarn

We are a family of four and had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Haybarn (18–22 July). The setting is truly special – a peaceful farm surrounded by beautiful countryside, with plenty of scenic walks right on the doorstep. The farm animals were a delight for the children, and the whole place has such a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The owners are a lovely family who went out of their way to make us feel at home – we felt so warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived. Their kindness really added to the whole experience. We also took a short trip to nearby Kirkcudbright, a charming little town with a fantastic seafood van that served some of the best fresh seafood we’ve ever had! This was a perfect mix of peace, nature, and warm hospitality. We left feeling refreshed and would love to come back again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet countryside getaway.

I liked everything about my break here, fantastic place! So quiet and peaceful, hosts were fabulous

The Haybarn was full of character, spotlessly clean, and spacious and comfortable. Staying on the farm was so peaceful, and our host was warm and welcoming. A beautiful place.

The Haybarn was luxurious, the hosts were warm and welcoming, the bed was supremely comfortable and sumptuous. The farm itself is a gem but also the surrounding area offers loads of walking options and amazing viewpoints. Ciara also gave us great recommendations for dinner which were an added bonus.

Fantastic hosts, everything was spot on. Will definitely return.

A lovely barn conversion, idyllic in so many ways. Simply but beautifully furnished with high quality furnishings throughout. So comfortable and so far away from all the distractions of normal life - the only distractions were very pleasant - the dogs, chickens, the odd escapee lamb and the wonderful hosts. A lovely farm to walk around too and so well located for Kirkcudbright, nearby beaches and other places of interest. Wonderful - thank you

Amazing place to stay. Super comfy, clean, modern but charming. Very friendly hosts but they also give you space. You can roam the farm, make friends with the dogs and animals and the views are incredible. So relaxing and picturesque. This is a great find. I want to live there!
