"Peaceful stay with adult family"

9.0

Church View is a lovely cottage with big spacious rooms. The main bedroom has an en-suite and views across the countryside. The hosts had left breakfast stuff and there was a community shop in adjacent Town Yetholm which is no more than a 15-20 minute walk away. Close to the cottage (2 minute walk) is a pub and we enjoyed a pleasant meal here. The cottage had books and games available and a quaint 3 story garden. There is a big Sainsbury's supermarket on the outskirts of Kelso - a 15 minute drive. Kelso and Jedburgh are both lovely places to visit.

It is difficult to say what we didn't like. If I'm being really picky, it would have been useful to have more coffee tables in the living room, and come winter it would have been lovely to enjoy an open fire, though the chimney is blocked up. Don't come if you are looking for raves and nightlife It is all too peaceful for that!

"Lovely relaxing and quirky B&B in a peaceful part of the Island."

9.0

Lovely quiet location. Peta is an excellent host. Good vegetarian breakfasts, well presented. Big rooms. Red squirrels. Direct bus service on Island Coaster Niton to/from Yarmouth (for Lymington ferry) saves time by avoiding Newport.

If travelling by bus you need to plan your day trips carefully. After the 08.00 to Newport there isn't another bus until 10.00, similarly on return in the late afternoon - no bus back after 16.00ish. Pity room service was missed one day.

"A lovely, refreshing place to stay."

10.0

Everything was spotless! The owner was very welcoming, and had given us very clear information about their location, which is located in a tiny hamlet several miles from Broadway. The picture window was large and gave us a great view outdoors. And the rental was totally quiet all night! The bed was wonderful, also.

If possible, a shelf in the shower would be a help, to put our shower necessities on.

"Great value for money."

8.0

Church View was in a lovely, quiet location within walking distance from the village and the local hotel where we had a meal. The room was comfortable and great value for money and perfectly adequate for a short stay. We had a separate , private bathroom next to the bedroom with a good shower. We took our own bowls, plates and cutlery and made our own breakfast using the milk that was left in the fridge and there was a plentiful supply of teas and coffees. The Cotswolds is generally quite expensive for hotels and I thought that Church View was a great place for an affordable 2 days away.

The room could benefit from redecoration.

"Great rural location in Cotswolds"

9.0

The room was clean and comfy. Private shower room was very clean. Parking on site. There is a kettle and fridge and supplies of tea, coffee and fresh milk. It was close to towns in the Cotswolds and close to the venue we were attending a wedding at so perfect location.

Nothing really. This is not really a complaint just an observation. At the time we booked it did state that it was a "B&B" however they don't do breakfast and there is not much round there. I think the description title has changed now. We took porridge pots and made those. So it was ok but go prepared!
