Church View

Hosts were friendly, room and bathroom was clean. Had fridge, kettle, TV, firestick etc.

There was a rooster that woke us at 4am, and wind chimes. I marked excellent as these factors was out of control of the hosts but did effect our stay as we had a wedding in the morning and was awake since 4am Also found it difficult to find

There was no breakfast offered and no facilities to cook my own. However there was a kettle for hot water and fresh milk in the fridge in the room. The shower was very good and plenty of hot water. The bed was one of the most comfortable which I have slept in, in a budget style of accommodation.

The property was difficult to find and I would have appreciated the road name which it was on, to go with the postcode which my car Satnav found. Parking was OK but the drive is shared with the neighbour who had to ask me to move closer to the house.

The location was stunning, sitting outside in the evening sunshine, looking over the meadow to the church was quintessentially English.

I had a bad sat-nav day, the postcode area is large, so a little more detailed direction would have been useful, but it was no big deal, I'm a bloke....so I got there after a couple of drive-by's!

Large comfortable house in centre of village near pub and bus stop that we needed. Some breakfast provisions left which were very welcome as village shop was in Town Yetholm and closed before we arrived.

Absolutely lovely place located directly at the (probably best part of the) Cotswolds Way. Very quiet. Very nice hosts. Fast Internet.

Nothing because they took us the money but we could enter the accommodation

We told to the person in charge of the “hotel” we were arriving at 9pm and while we were driving there we got lost. The person in charge (Alex) told us at 9h30 that the checkin hour was until 6pm (but at that time it was useless tell us that). When we finally arrived, we had a code to open the door following the instruction Alex gave us in the morning. We enter the code to open the door and the door was locked from inside. We messaged and called Alex but she/he never picked up. So we were totally in the middle of the field at 10pm without having a place to stay. We had to look for the nearest hotel in Google maps, go there and we stayed there. Church View took us the money and we did not stayed there. On top of that, as the door was looked, what does that mean? If you decide to stay in that “hotel” you can not go out of that house after the hour Alex decides??? It is ridiculous and the WORST experience ever. We want the money back

Perfect for walking The Pennine Way with dogs.

Nothing. Everything was fine. It's obviously not a luxury proposition but idea for what I needed. Everything was easy and chilled with the hosts. And a great wee village. The open fire not working was a bit disappointing as I find an open fire a real treat.
