Kitchen was not sufficiently clean. TV was difficult to access more than one channel.Washing machine had a leak. Lights in one bedroom flickered. No hand rails on stairways. No bars to hang clothes in one bedroom closet. No heat from radiator in one room. Smoke alarm fell off ceiling twice. Lost heat and hot water one morning although host explained how to restore it. Wallpaper peeling in some locations.

Location was quiet and it was an easy drive into Aberdeen.

Heating wasn't switched on until I queried when the timer was set to come on. Water was only lukewarm at best. Old moldy fridge in kitchen and took us a little while to raise there was a functioning fridge built into the kitchen cupboards.

Was available when we needed it. Clean

First appearances of the outside of the property was a little concerning.

Lounge space was good with a big TV but lounge chairs are not easy to get out of

Double storey semi-detached house located in Suburbia, private transport will be required as there is no train or bus nearby. Instructions provided for TV use was not readily seen on arrival, found later in cupboard drawer. Bathroom has a bath/shower combined which has no grab/support handles to get in or out of. It is very slippery getting in and out of deep bath. Kitchen is lacking in many items with only 3 cooking utensils provided which were stained and well used. Need to provide more items including tongs, colander/sieve, clean frypans etc. No drying towels provided and when contacting owner by message told to use paper towels to dry dishes! No tablets provided for dishwasher use either. NO tumble dryer provided although stated in inclusions. Owner stated that this was issue with Booking.com website and to use outside washing line but this is difficult when no pegs are provided and it is raining. Washing Machine was leaking all over floor which owner stated they knew about (thru message) but didn’t given incoming tenants any notice. Paint peeling in some rooms and some door knobs are not securely attached to doors. Kitchen bench provided with 4 stools but impossible for 4 people to sit there at the same time - No dining table provided We did not use heater in lounge room but noted it has no glass or safety barrier Smallest bedroom has a large desk in it which takes up considerable space

The area looked rough although it was very quiet. Hall carpet was dirty and covered by a mat that stopped the doors closing. shelves coming off wall in lounge and dated furnishings. Property didn’t meet current legislation for smoke alarms or heat detectors. Bathroom door didn’t lock. There was old mattresses lying in the back garden. The heating stopped working however the owner was quick to contact to rectify.
