Great location and easy to meet people. Activities organized every day. Beds and pillows are nice.

Rooms are not very clean. Also our room was next to the reception, and the bathroom on the other side of the reception, so you had to walk through it. People outside our room made use of this, which led to that it was very often preoccupied and not too clean. Staff randomly walked in our room sometimes without knocking. Price quality ratio is very bad: for the same price of one of the most basic dorm rooms I have every stayed in we had a luxurious hotel the next day.

It’s a great hostel, with great owner and reception staff members. Good location next to some nice cafes and restaurants (western and local) and a 5 min walk to the beach. They’re really approachable, help you with anything you need, any question you have, the reception team have the answer. They often check in to see if you need anything. Rooms were clean, big and not smelly. (Although AC is a little rattley). I liked it so much after my first visit for 5 days that I came back and stayed for another 4!! Great hostel and will 100% stay again for a longer time when I come back.

Only thing I would say is that the social side of it is mainly ran by the guests… the hostel owner organised day trips and evening activities but social host they have isn’t very social, I stayed for 5 days a couple of weeks ago (first visit) and the first time I realised they were working for the hostel was this time (second visit) on the second night! Hostel guests were amazing, friendly, like minded and respectful - so this made socialising a lot easier! If you were at the hostel with people who were more introverted, I think it would be hard to create an atmosphere… but luckily on both of my stays this has not been the case!

Really social hostel, they run activities everyday which are great. The place is really close to the beach and all the bars/restaurants. I had an issue with cleanliness but the staff resolved the issue when raised which I appreciate.

The location is central in Hiri. I can't comment on what it's like as a backpacker in a dorm - maybe better than the double rooms? The aircon worked.

It's a fine line between "chill vibes" and "careless" and this place is on the wrong side of that line. It's far too expensive for what you get, which is an unkept and noisy, very basic place. We had booked a double room with balcony and garden view. The view was into a backyard full of junk (see photos)- We left after 2 nights even though we haid paid for 4. The room is the bare minimum. The floors were dirty, the house noisy (loud music) and I have no idea who would chose to spend any time on that balcony (again, see photos). The reception and building were full of rubbish and building materials - the place is undergoing construction and according to the other commments has been since over a year. The reception staff were bored and mostly ignored us whenever we wondered around looking for them. Wouldn't recommend this if you are a couple, looking for a chill, calm place to stay. This was our least favourite place in Sri Lanka.

Everything! Staffs were not responsive, they had no idea whats going on. Not much responsive to queries. Out of all the stays we stayed in sri lanka this was the worst and expensive stay but definitely not value for money! Crockroaches were wandering around, not clean bathrooms and it had no lock. The key card was broke and I could go on with a list of things. The only good thing is that we stayed there just for one night. The photos that we saw are completely different. Overall very bad. Please dont ever book this stay. You will thank me later

Great for solo traveling. Nice activities.
