Kurokawa-So

Peaceful location far from city. Friendly, respectful, hardworking staff. Great food. Variety of relaxing onsen.

Older facility musty smell.

The meals that were prepared were absolutely phenomenal. Beautiful onsens that can’t compare to anywhere else. The scenery and the staff we’re the best.

Nothing. It was all great! No changes required.

The hospitality of the staff was excellent, the room was extraordinary. It was perfect a-z.

A lot. We ended up getting a full Japanese 2-floor house, with a private outdoor onsen and a garden overlooking the nice river. I guess I wasn’t really sure what kind of room I had booked. Everything else was great, too much to mention. I at least have to mention that we especially enjoyed the private dining rooms with views on the maple leaves and the river.

It’s a bit far from the actual Kurokawa Onsen town, but the property itself provided enough onsen experiences that we skipped the town. If it had been closer, we probably would have at least check it out.

This property was beautifully landscaped.

Some areas need updating and carpets need replacing.
