Little Syke

Lovely location in a very pretty village just outside York. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated throughout. Very pretty garden to sit in. Hosts very warm and welcoming. Can recommend the pub.

The property is in an excellent location, an interesting village with lots of walks . Very quiet location and relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyed watching the wildlife in the garden. The accommodation is very well appointed with lots of nice touches and very clean. Tom and Rachel were available for any questions .

Could do with two more mugs.

Beautiful little property at the side of the main house. It felt very safe and private. It opened out onto the huge garden with rabbits and wildlife first thing in the morning. Perfect for a morning cup of coffee in the sunshine. Comfortable bed. Beautiful property lovingly decorated.

Tom & Rachel were great hosts, gave us good information about the area. The cottage was lovely, well fitted out, and lovely garden. I would recommend little Syke cottage, as a great base. It we ever go to the area again, we would have no second thoughts about booking, with them again.

Everything was as described and the property had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of extra touches.

A freezer compartment in the fridge would’ve been helpful

A very charming little cottage in a picturesque Yorkshire village. Excellent and very welcoming hosts, all necessary amenities, ample inside and outside space, lovely surroundings

Lovely peaceful village - a place to slow down and experience quaint rural England. The small house is nicely decorated with comfy bed and is well laid out. Nice welcoming hosts and really easy to drive into York or to catch the nearest park and ride into the centre. Quiet river walk and beautiful stained glass in the nearby St Mary's Church. Useful information received on day of arrival. Thanks for a lovely stay. Highly recommended for a single traveller or couple as a base to explore the area.

Maybe a bit of information beforehand about parking as it's an unusual village with narrow road but hosts helped us find the best place when we arrived.

Gorgeous accommodation in an idyllic location. Very luxurious, clean and well equipped. Lovely view over the garden. Very quiet and peaceful for a relaxing short break. Bed was very comfortable, kitchen well equipped and two lovely comfy sofas in the lounge. Would highly recommend this. Hosts Tom and Rachel were very welcoming and friendly.
