Hot water

There was a shit smell outside the room so I couldn't leave the door open. There is only one toilet, which the staff also used and one staff member decided to leave his poo smeared on the lid of the bin. The woman at the reception was not nice. we talk about the price for the laundry, and when the laundry was ready she suddenly demanded a higher amount, so instead of 7 Dollar (its also super high) for a small bag of underwear she charged 8.5 dollars. And she also crumpled my passport, so now the inside of my passport is completely wrinkled.

Nice accommodation, friendly staff, good places to stay. Excellent breakfast

- breakfast is tasty and impressive! But a little small - staff is really friendly - great location - free filtered water

- I aware it’s normal to not have hot water in the shower and I’m used to it, but here the water was especially freezing! - walls are thin and throughout the day you can hear everything from the outside the room - lots of mosquitoes - it’s too bad that breakfast starts at 8am since most of travelers go to visit the volcano earlier than that

Our stay at Hostal Sole was AMAZING! It felt like a little home away from home. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, always with smiles on their faces. The breakfast was also 10/10! We would 100% stay here again!

We paid more to go to an air con room even though we were the only people staying The place could do with a general decor upgrade to be worth the money

Conveniently close to downtown. Beautiful hostal, spacious room with large comfortable beds. We got a 6 bed dorm to ourselves. Kitchen was nice. Fast internet. They let us hang out in the lobby after checkout.

The hostal is occupied by an entire family, so you have to share the kitchen, dining area and hang out spots with them. I often felt in the way when using the kitchen. The front door is always locked. You can only leave by asking one of the family members to let you out, curfew is 10. They have a washer and dryer but a typical load of laundry is $20.

Ideal location with a comfy and clean room. Air conditioning was good so we slept comfortably despite the heat. Staff were all helpful and weren’t phased by our 4am departure to catch a shuttle.

Communal spaces were fairly limited, but for a short stay this wasn’t a big issue.

It was very quiet but a lovely little place

We were the only guests, so it wasn't very social, but great if you need peace and quiet!
