Oyado Katsu

There was no breakfast, but there is a Laundromat very close. No tea or coffee provided and the key was easy to access, but the sliding door lock is a bit temperamental, and since there is a lock on each door it is not clear which one the key opens. We opened both eventually but it took some time and careful maneuvering. We used a luggage service called Nakasendo Luggage Transfer Service that was a terrible experience. The person we spoke to was rude and very disrespectful from the start. It was an upsetting experience that the Oyada owner took concern in and recommended a different service who we would use in the future. A convenient and good place to stay

The location is good and close to the train station, with a good view to the mountains.

It is too close to the main road and without noise or light isolation. It feels like sleeping outside the house.

We stayed for one night after walking part of the Nakasendo way and it was the perfect respite after a long day. Access was easy, it was really clean with all necessary amenities and the shower was top notch! We got dinner from the nearby seven eleven and had it in the apartment, worked out perfectly for us. The train station is only a 5 minute walk away so its very easy to transit to your next destination from there.

The main road is loud so I do recommend earplugs!
