Turkuaz Beach Zanzibar

i like everything from there..

The huts, the pool, the beach, the food at the restaurant My room was super cute and cozy. The pool was soooooooooo nice, and it was right on the beach. The beach was gorgeous, I went for a long walk and collected some shells. I had breakfast and lunch at the restaurant, the food was absolutely amazing.

Communicating with the staff in English was difficult. Using credit card became challenging as the machine wasn’t working and they also wanted to charge me more for using credit card. Also didn’t like that the big pool is accessible to public

Resort is really like on the pictures, nice and tidy, workers clean every day. Both pools are clean and nice for swimimg. Beach is not for swimming as huge differences in tides, but you can relax and use sundecks on the beach. Beach is guarded by Massai and you will not be bothered by locals trying to sell everything, which is really annoying, we experianced this on other beaches.

We booked 2 weeks with breakfast, and took 1 a la carte dinner and 1 buffet dinner in the resort (oh what a mistake). Turkish chef which is on pictures is not there, you will not eat fine dishes which can be seen on the pictures on booking. Food is heavily overpriced, there in range of 5 km you have at least 5 restaurants with 5-times better and significantly cheaper food. Food is terrible and even worst food service, staff does not know english, nor what and how to serve the food (I will just say that waitress could not know how to open a bottle of beer ....). Linens and pillows were changed every day, and were clean, but boy how they smell, terrible, its really discusting, and should be resolved by managers asap. Resort has 5-stars, but honestly its far from Europe 3-star hotels, although compared to other resorts in Zanzibar it is better than most resorts and hotels.

I booked this for 2 clients and they couldnt stop raving about how nice and peaceful it was! They were only supposed to be there for a night but choose to stay for an extra night cos they really enjoyed it!

The hotel concept is wonderful, clearly a 10 point. the room clearly a 10 pointer as it is very neat, safe and cosy. well-kept pool and nice, which means you can spend your whole day by the pool as you have the beach as a view. Most important of all was the service the hotel offers its guests, so welcoming, so caring and wonderful team that makes you enjoy and feel better every moment you are there. In addition, even helps out when you need something or want to do something outside the hotel which was really so appreciative. You are simply spoiled by all the service you get here and I leave the hotel with a big smile on my face. I choose to write a long review because I am really super happy with my stay and highly recommend, 10+++. The manager's service and his good Turkish dishes were so delicious, even travelers who not stay here must try his dishes.
