ML Apartments Republic

We stayed there the night that Portugal and Spain had a total blackout. The owner of the unit came around to us and personally made sure we were booked in and okay.

There were a few maintenance issues that we reported to the owner. He said he would see to them.

It was realy clean

The wifi did not work

Location was good

Hot water was not sufficient for 1 person bath. I had to wait 30 minutes for hot water.

In general, very nice object, comfortanle, big enough, clean. We would stay again here if we are coming to Porto

in the bathroom there are stains on the ceiling from water that probably leaked from the floor above. no smell of moisture. the floor creaks a bit when you walk on it

Convenient location with a lot to experience. Property had what we needed for the stay.

The floor is noisy. Can hear people walking. At night the noise disturbed our sleep. Other minor repairs were needed like inside main entry door knob pulled off, ceiling above bathroom sink and shower has water damage, kitchen sink cabinet door sagging.

Decent location, clean.

Unfortunately we had multiple issues with the property, a list of things were broken/not working; - Door handle - despite being told it’s not needed to open the door, it is!! - Toaster didn’t work - TV didn’t work - Shower head was broken so that it had to be held the whole time you used it - Toilet seat was broken. Apart from the broken/not working items, the apartment was incredibly hot, the only way to cool was to open street facing windows on a very busy main road which was awfully noisy and didn’t allow for much sleep, no fly screens either so the apartment filled with bugs/flys. Overall, for the money paid - these issues need to be addressed.

Good conditions of the room, clean, comfortable, good shading, would stay again!

Quite far away from center, uphill, you can walk or take the public transport.

The location was good. The apartment was good.

It can get hot in Porto. So we opened the window and the wind was whistling around the building.

- reasonable location - small kitchen

- you can only check in from 3PM to 8PM, only a window of a few hours. - you have to know exactly when you arrive so somebody comes specifically to take pictures of your passport and give you the key. - difficult to find the apartment, there are no instructions and no apartment number. - they want you out as early as possible, at 10:55 (before 11 check out) the cleaning lady knocks at your door. - no reply on whatsapp number provided and late replies on booking - no AC - you can’t pay by card the city tax
