ML Apartments Republic

Functional and super nice small apartment: comfy bed, big bathroom and very nice area! It was perfect for our little week end trip :) very close to the Trinidade metro station and very easily reachable from the airport. at a 20 minutes walk from the bridge Luis I!

It was really quiet and the apartment had a nice small balcony. The check-in and communication were easy. The kitchen was well equipped, and the apartment itself was clean and cosy.

I am booking.com genius member. I have booked the apartment from 2023.06.25 to 2023.06.28. During check in, at 16:30, it was not brought to my attention that there was no electrical power. Neither was I given the wireless user and password. I have informed the owner via phone and SMS about these issues, asking him to solve them. I also informed him that the bathroom ceiling was showing traces of a recent flooding. The owner finally came over at 18:30. He unsuccessfully tried 2 times to engage the electrical fuse, after which he made some modifications to the electrical wiring in the bathroom, thus finally restoring electrical power, except bathroom. He then proceeded to inform me that I may have my money back and leave. I called him on his mocking attitude towards the whole situation and decided to stay. Minuses: No air conditioning. The apartment is westwards oriented, with 3 double windows that cannot be opened during the night due to traffic. It is very noisy due to nearby traffic. The street is slightly inclined after a stop and curves, thus vehicles need to rev up their engines. The toilet lid was loose. The front door nob was loose and very difficult to handle. The owner had the audacity to request that the repairs to the electrical grid be done during our stay there. I do not recommend this apartment mainly due to the owner's attitude towards a client that has paid in advance.

The location is OK. The owner helped us when we managed our arrival time. They gave recommendations about the environment.

The owner and the staff were in the room, and they were trying to fix a door handle. It's better not to find anyone else in the room.

We were met at the appointed time and very friendly. Excellent location. We had a loggia.

Only 3 nights...

The location is very good, it‘s just a 10 minute walk to the famous bridge and the center. A supermarket is just around the corner and there is also this super nice vegan café 50 meters away. :-) The appartement itself was nice, it was clean and you had a kitchen with a coffee machine and pads, which I was thankful for. So in conclusion I can recommend a stay here, but there are those things that need to be fixed.

If you took a closer look there were many „broken“ things which other people already critisized. The door knob just fell off, the lit of the big pot was broken, the toilet seat wasn’t firmly adjusted and almost felt off, the floor of the shower came off and there were water stains on the bathroom wall.
