It was great value and dog friendly

The driveway is poorly segregated from the overgrown garden and in particular the small rocks at the border were covered and not visible such that, when I performed a difficult three point turn, I scuffed the bumper of my car. In fairness the landlord advised that we should not drive all the way to the apartment but rather park at the gable end of the main house - except I only read this after the damage was done as it was sent when we were in transit. We gathered from previous reviews and from the photographs/lists that there was no microwave so we brought our own, only to find that there was one there already. Visitors are requested to only turn on the hot water an hour before it's needed. This is very problematic as the switch is downstairs and would require one to venture outdoors in the morning an hour before having a shower!

Weather was very good during my stay and that helped a lot. Cottage situated on an out-of-the-way country narrow narrow road more like a lane to me also used by walkers using this Old Railway Walk to Burtonport (watch for the signs and wooden poles). Location is pleasant and quiet. Great walks around.

Access to the upper floor of cottage (bedroom and bathroom) is by an OUTSIDE staircase using a different key which is a bit of a nuisance. Cottage overall somewhat musty. Needs ventilation.

It's in a great location, very peaceful and quiet. The cottage would suit hikers and walkers but it's not that big and could do with a bit of modernisation...but it was good value.

The hot water heater is rather fierce, I suggest that it needs adjustment... Beyond that, it is fine as a base and somewhat to sleep etc

Stayed a few times, love how peaceful and quiet it is.
