We were quite happy with the facilities and the hosts. Overall it was very clean and nicely organized.

Our stay at this accommodation was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness, comfort, and overall atmosphere of the house. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged to ensure a pleasant and cozy experience. The house was impeccably clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. From fresh linens and towels to all the essential amenities, we felt completely at home. The environment was warm and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. A special thank you to the host, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating. She made sure we had everything we needed and even went above and beyond to fulfill our individual requests. Her hospitality made a huge difference and left a lasting impression on us. We will definitely be returning in the future. The hot tub was lovely. The log burner was very welcoming. The cottage has everything you would need. Jo was very friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us.

The property would benefit from some form of matting from hot tub to house so not to trail mud in and out. Or maybe tell guests to bring flip flops. More an observation than a fault.

A beautiful location with lovely views. The drive from carlisle city was 15 minutes and it was way to find. The lady who owns it was really helpful and she welcomed us , and showed us around, she had pre heated the hot tub for us which was a real bonus. it had been snowing but we still managed an hour or so outside. The open fire was a delight and this had been stocked up with wood for our arrival. The cottage had been cleaned to a high standard and had all the amenities we needed. I don’t have any bad things to say about our stay. 10 out of 10 - Thank you

I can’t fault this place , it wasn’t expensive , we got a lot for our money.

Real fire

It is a beautiful place with a lot of potential, but unfortunately, we were unable to fully enjoy our stay.  After arriving at 3:55 p.m., the cottage was not ready, and there was a lady cleaning it, I realized that check-in was from 4 p.m. We waited in the car until 4:10 p.m., then the lady called us, but she was still cleaning and left before 5 p.m.  After entering the hot tub, the water was warm only for a few minutes, the jet did not work, and the water was a bit muddy. My son had a rash on his back, and we had to go to GP day after .We reported the problem.  The next day the water temperature did not change so we had to leave the place and look for a children's pool nearby.  We came back around 4 p.m.  There was no coffee machine (and it is in the list when booking), there are no TV programs in the living room, and the tap is broken in the bathroom.  I wanted to put the cosmetics in the drawer in the bathroom, but they are very dirty . There were no towels downstairs in the bedroom. Luckily, we had 2 of our own.  Downstairs in the bedroom, a curtain rod fell on my son while he was sitting on the bed. There was expired food in the kitchen cabinet, which we threw into the trash because of our kids, so they won't eat that. We always take off the dirty sheets. There are yellow stains on the bed in the bedroom under the sheets. We really wanted this stay to be special because it was supposed to be a surprise for my husband on his birthday and we couldn't use it half of the time because the hot tub didn't work properly. We know that accommodation without a hot tub costs half of what it costs with a hot tub.  It really could be a cleaner . We paid a lot of money with unpleasant disappointment, especially because it was a birthday trip and it was not entirely successful. place with a lot of potential, but unfortunately, we were unable to fully enjoy our stay. 

Nothing I left within 10 minutes of arriving, extremely disappointing, stains on carpet and sofa covers plus cigarette butts all over the garden. Upstairs was better than downstairs. Owners didn’t offer a refund despite me attempting to contact minutes after arriving by email, telephone and ring doorbell.

I left the property minutes after arriving as it was so disappointing, following a drive to get there I’d rather drive home than stay it was such a disgrace. Damp with very visible stains on ceilings, walls and windows, dark brown stains which have clearly been there some time (wish I’d read older reviews as this is commented on previously). Whole cottage smells damp. Stains and burns on sofa, holes in sofa cover and carpet/rugs in living room. Kitchen cupboard doors loose and not in alignment. Outside space dirty, covered in cigarette butts and ash. Owners answered at first but when I said I wanted a refund then didn’t respond when I said I was leaving and heading home hours later offered another property in the area but only for that evening knowing I was now home almost two hours away then refused to respond or refund I had to go through the bank for my £182.00 refund I have over 100 photographs as proof
