Villa Somma Apartments

The welcome from the host on arrival set the tone for the week, Roberto was always on hand when needed, with help and advice, and local produce (including the local baker). The rooms were large, clean and comfortable, with air-conditioning essential, all with access to the balcony. The views of the bay and of Vesuvius cannot be beaten. Pool was small but very clean and most welcome in the high temperatures. Good parking and the property location is in the hills, but excellent to visit the local towns and attractions in different directions.

Nothing. Only if the balcony was wider would there perhaps be room for more comfy chairs for relaxing.

Toller Blick auf den Golf von Neapel. Unsere Kinder haben den Pool und den Garten mit Trampolin und vielen Spielzeugen geliebt. Die Wohnung war sehr gut ausgestattet, Roberto war sehr freundlich und hatte tolle Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants.

Sehr kleines Badezimmer, wie beschrieben.

Roberto, de gastheer doet dit zo vanzelfsprekend en laat je helemaal thuis voelen. Hij staat altijd voor je klaar. Alles is aanwezig in de keuken, je kan met enkel kledij toekomen en een geweldig verblijf hebben in het appartement. Alles is ook heel proper. En het uitzicht…!

Wir hatten zwei wunderbare Wochen in der Villa Somma. Roberto ist ein super netter und zuvorkommender Gastgeber, immer hilfsbereit, mit vielen wertvollen Tipps für Ausflüge und Unternehmungen und gleichzeitig jederzeit für einen netten Plausch zu haben. Die Wohnungen sind sehr sauber, ordentlich und bestens ausgestattet mit allem, was man braucht. Von hier aus hat man einen idealen Ausgangspunkt, um die Region zu erkunden, egal ob Vesuv, Amalfiküste oder Sorrent. Besonders schön ist der Ausblick auf den Vesuv und den Golf von Neapel, einfach traumhaft. Die Anlage selbst bietet zwei kleine Poosl und Liegestühle zum Entspannen, und auch Simba, der süße Kater, gehört schon fast zum Wohlfühlpaket dazu. Wir haben die Zeit hier rundum genossen und können die Unterkunft absolut weiterempfehlen!

You couldn’t find a better host than Roberto in the whole of Italy. He is always available when you contact him and provides the little home from home luxuries like tea coffee washing powder etc . Beautiful apartment in a very quiet mountain location with stunning shared pool and play park facilities. Perfect for kids also .

Wunderschönes, geräumiges Apartment im landestypischen Stil mit Blick auf Neapel und den Vesuv (unseres hieß „Sorrento“, mit Zitronen auf der Bettwäsche, gelber Kaffeemaschine, gelbe Fliesen im Bad...) mit 2 SZ, Waschmaschine, 2 Pools, Sonnenliegen, sehr großzügiges Starterpack mit Seife, Duschgel, Toilettenpapier, Waschmittel, funktionierende Klimaanlage, gratis Kaffeepads, die auf Wunsch auch aufgefüllt werden, großzügige Küchenausstattung (alles ausreichend für 4-5 Personen vorhanden), abgeschlossener Parkplatz Roberto ist ein netter, sehr bemühter und sprachbegabter Gastgeber (italienisch, deutsch, englisch, spanisch), der möchte, dass seine Gäste zufrieden sind. Zum Check in war er selbst Vorort und gab uns eine detaillierte Einweisung in die Wohnung und die Highlights der Umgebung. Um Probleme kümmerte er sich sofort (Balkontür schloss nicht richtig und wurde umgehend repariert) und antwortete sofort auf Anfragen, eine professionelle Infomappe liegt in jedem Apartment bereit, mit wertvollen Details über Restaurants, Busse, Wanderwege, Parkplätze, Sightseeingspots, ….

Zweites Schlafzimmer ohne Fenster, keine Spülmaschine vorhanden

We loved everything about our stay at villa Somma! - the location, away from the chaos, with a light breeze every evening and a beautiful view over the Vesuvio; - the apartment: clean and well organised, with everything available (coffee, condiments, cleaning equipment) and a very comfortable bed; - the facilities: great swimming pool and well maintained garden with a small playgrounds for the kids; - the host: Roberto is such a great host. Warm and friendly, providing plenty of tips on areas to visit, restaurants to try and parking facilities (not a joke in the area!). This is seriously one of the best places we have ever been!

This is a wonderful place, with clean rooms, well catered kitchen and bathroom. The owner Roberto is one of the most helpful and considerate hosts I have ever met, For example as it was easter Roberto provided a lovely panatonme cake and as we had two youngsters with us he came up with two chocolate bunnies for them. The garden has one of the most amazing views of Vesuvius and the Naples bay area, At night it was spectacular. There were two pools, although not heated they were well used by the kids and at times the adults. Fantastic place, you seriously have to go there and the local village Pimonte has some shops with very friendly owners. It may be out of the way so no discos or night clubs and bars but it is ideal for a family to go chill and use it as a base to visit the likes of Pompeii, Vesuvius, Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. In one word........ Tremendous

We found driving around more stressful than in the UK but that is a general comment and not specific to Villa Somma.

Villa Somma is a treasure near the Amalfi Coast. Our family loved our time lounging by the pool, playing games and having breakfast on the terrace with stunning views of Vesuvius and the ocean. Roberto is a gem (and his cat Simba) - communicative, friendly and gracious - his tips on how to visit Amalfi added so much to our holiday and after exploring during the day among the crowds, it was such a welcome relief to come back to Villa Somma to peace in a lovely setting.
