Waihi is just a small town, but it suited us for visiting Whangamata for Beach Hop weekend as it was only approx 20-30min drive. Motel had good parking and the units were sunny, clean, well serviced and comfortable.

Motel is located on the main road, but the road noise isn't too bad as the road quietens down from approx 9.30pm.

The bed was comfy, the bathroom was nice

The tv didnt quite work well, it kept turning off randomly. Also when I was checking out and bringing stuff to my car, the owners like watched my every move. It was quite awkward.
