Gentleman manager was very very nice!

We had two rooms, one for us, and one for our teenage girls. The air conditioning didn’t work in our room do after waiting several hours to have it fixed they moved us to a place a couple blocks away. Shanaka guest house. Lady was very nice. I didn’t like staying away from my girls but unavoidable. I did sleep in because I stayed with them later than usual. I missed my dive appointment at 8:30 but could get one for 9:30, would mean back at hotel at 11:00, which was at check out time. As they didn’t need to change sheets for room we didn’t stay in requested one hour later check out. They would not accommodate the 1 hour, only 1/2 hour, which meant I couldn’t do my dive. I thought this was unreasonable given I felt we were very accommodating when the room we paid for wasn’t ready for 5 hours after we checked in nor close yo our children.

Place was fine

Really noisy location ..from bars playing terrible music late and street full of tik tuks. Didn't like Unawatuna. Been spolit by overdevelopment. AVOID

The location was perfect. The entrance to the beach allmost directly. The staff was friendly. The price was very low and exceptional for this location.

There is no insulation, you can hear your next neighbours like there were in your room. The owners run a family restaurant, that is busy in the evenings. And the roof has openings - that's the reason, they have mosquitos nets on the bed. Also the water under the shower is runing very slowly and there is only a hint of a warm water under the shower.

Located close to the beach and other happening places. Value for money. Owner is an amazing person, went over and beyond to help us get cabs, etc.

Everything worked fine. Good location, 2 mins from the beach.

Shower wasnt the best regarding pressure and there is some noise from the street, which is to be expected in that location.

The 4 poster bed was very impressive and the room was right on bar street.

Staff demanded significantly more money than Booking.com confirmation amouNt upon arrival- and then disappeared never to be seen again. Dirty bathroom. It was impossible to sleep until after 2am as the noise from the street was excessive. AirCon just blows air - doesn't actually make the air cold.

Good convenient clean place. Friendly staff. Rooms were clean with air conditioning. Good value considering busy season. Outside balcony common area, and a refrigerator and a drying rack and seating area and some books to read. Thoughtful.

As previous people mentioned, initial check-in asked for more money than the dollar equivalent. Few dollars extra so I didn’t complain. Bathroom toilet flush broke.

Location is superb, however it does not have sea viewing rooms While in Booking.com listing it says so

- Great location, few minutes away from the beach. - Apartment is private and feels like home. - Clean and quite bit room and bathroom.

- There's some confusion as when I handed over the money while doing check-in and the lady said that i need to pay more. ( I just gave the amount of money that was mentioned in booking). Just uncomfortable situation. - Many adapters didn't work.
