Casa Tigris

The staff at Casa Tigris were very kind and very helpful. Huge thank you to Alexis, who made our stay comfortable, convenient, and memorable.

The front door lock to the building was tricky to navigate, but we got in eventually (either by wiggling the key or with help)!

Very little to like. Touch-operated lamps, vintage furniture was cool. But...

I was excited by the photos but, as soon as we arrived, my partner and I were eager to leave. I had notified the property through Booking about my late check-in. This was not confirmed. Upon check in, we had to wait outside the property and cycle between three phone numbers posted outside the property. It took about 30 minutes to get in. Inside, rooms were dirty, the bed sheet had a smoke hole in it, the duvet had boll and was dusty (we didn't use it again), we weren't provided toiletries or water, the property was noisy both from the noise of the downstairs lounge and the street, the bathrooms were smelly and dirty with previous residents' toiletries scattered about, one of the showers sprayed water everywhere, and we routinely smelt smoke from the open-air smoking area downstairs. Knowing all of this, we didn't even venture into the kitchen so as to not be surprised again. The plastic shell in the bathroom's ceiling collapsed during our stay with its sharp pieces scattered on the bathroom floor. We were sorely disappointed by the general lack of upkeep and maintenance in what could've been a great stay in an old house. We were relieved to leave before our actual check out date. Don't let this ruin your stay in a beautiful stay. Better options exist at for a similar price!
