I want to clarify that I was always respectful and composed. It seems that you have confused my review with a completely different situation that occurred during my stay. In particular, I want to emphasize that neither I nor my colleague took the mattress—this was someone else. Your response misrepresents my actions, which is unacceptable. On the positive side, the beds are comfortable for sleeping. When you are lucky because not everyone had a good mattress.

Unfortunately, my stay at this accommodation was disappointing. The reception staff seemed unfriendly and unprofessional. What bothered me the most was the video surveillance in the room, which I was not informed about – this is absolutely unacceptable. The chill area is very small and mostly occupied by the staff, leaving little space for guests. The kitchen is available but poorly equipped and often dirty. The rooms are extremely cramped, with no proper storage space for backpacks, creating a chaotic atmosphere. Given these issues, the price-performance ratio is absolutely unjustified. There are definitely better options for the same or even a lower price. Overall, it was not a pleasant stay – I would not come back.

Was quite a few mosquitoes in the room that kept coming in. Didn’t find the staff too helpful. Not much shared social space just a sofa next to reception

Amazing people working there. Very caring about the guest. Invited guests to activities like surfing, sunsets and partying.

**Disappointing Stay – Not What Was Promised** I recently stayed at this hostel for four nights, and it was a major disappointment. Having traveled throughout the Philippines for over a month, I’ve stayed at numerous hostels of similar caliber, and all of them had friendly, welcoming staff and good service. Unfortunately, this hostel was a stark contrast to my previous experiences. First, the staff were consistently unhelpful and seemed confused about basic operations. Unlike at other hostels, where staff went out of their way to help with booking activities, transport, or offering local recommendations, here there was none of that. It felt like there was a complete lack of hospitality, which really affected the overall experience. The room itself did not match the online listing at all. The ad claimed there was a kitchenette, but it was a complete misrepresentation. We found empty product bottles, no amenities, and no toilet paper. The bathroom had a strong sewage odor, making it unpleasant to use. What's more, despite staying for four nights, no one offered to clean the room, replace towels, or even empty the napkin bin — something that was hard to tolerate, especially considering we were expected to dispose of toilet paper waste in the bin. The property itself was nothing like the photos on Booking.com, which seemed to only showcase the best room on-site or a mixture of all the rooms in their most glorified state. The rest of the place resembled more of a backyard than a properly maintained, functional hostel. There was no common area or any space to socialize, and the overall lack of amenities made it feel more like a makeshift accommodation rather than a proper hostel. Considering the price, this place was a total letdown. Nearby hostels, many offering better value (such as pools or beachfront access), were priced similarly or even cheaper. The only positives I can mention are the location’s proximity to Cloud 9 and that the shower had hot water.

You can’t lock the room from inside, the body gel is empty, the water didn’t run!

The private room was spacious and clean. Location was walking distance from the beach. Staff was very helpful and nice. There was a communal fridge and seating area. Value for money.

Bathroom had a bit of a funky smell. We had problems with the door lock many times. Dogs outside barked a lot at night.
