Ozen Freediving Hostel

Rooms were airy and relatively spacious compared to other hostels. Bathrooms were always clean. Staff were friendly and free diving intro course was great!

It lacks any cooking facilities and a primarily social space

Great location, right by cloud 9! The Cat and Gun cafe is particularly nice just next door. Nice staff, super helpful (our air conditioning didn’t work and they replaced the next day)

We stayed in the apartment which was nice but Air con only in bedroom and no where to sit inside other than on the bed. Bathroom didn’t have a fan so stayed super wet and no toiletries!

- Lovely Little private apartment with balcony with plenty of space and table and chairs outside and hanging rack outside for clothes - really good value for money for whole private apartment compared to rest of the area - would definitely recommend staying here and would come again! - staff were on the whole very friendly and always happy to help - they kindly arranged airport transfer for when we arrived and also helped us easily arrange a boat tour and scooter hire all for a good price - nice chill out area at reception with hammocks etc - WiFi wasn’t amazing in the room but worked on the balcony - cute puppies! - location was slightly out of the main busy GL area which we quite liked but still on the same road and easy to get everywhere - very close to some nice breakfast/brunch/lunch spots including Cat & Gun and Outer Cafe and good dinner spots easily reached by trike or scooter - on the main Tourism Road so easy to get around by scooter/trike. - walkable to Jackinghorse/cloud 9 beach for surfing - quick 5-10 min scooter ride into town to the main restaurants at the bottom of General Luna - soap in the room and towels provided - kettle & basic crockery and cutlery in the room too & drinking water provided at reception - aircon worked pretty well on the whole in the bedroom - staff happy to help and were able to replenish toilet roll etc when we asked them (and had we asked im sure the bins could’ve been emptied too) - they offer freediving intro courses and fun dives too of course for those who want it

- there were quite a few flying ants in the bedroom when we arrived but they quickly got us some ant spray when we told them and was no problem - just be aware there are bugs around and able to get in (which didn’t bother us really) - the bathroom tiling in our apartment was at an angle that the wet room didn’t drain properly into the drains so the floor was always wet (again not huge issue for us) and sometimes the drains were a bit smelly but not unusual for the philippines and not offensive. - location slightly away from some of the main developments in GL but we knew this and liked it and enough around and happily got around cheaply by trike (30 pesos per person one way) and scooter

Staff were really nice and friendly. It was better than we expected and the location was just perfect.

Bathrooms were a bit uncomfy just for the fact that there was no curtain and water splashed everywhere. Water also ran a bit slow but nothing really bad.

Clean and affordable place very near Cloud 9 and other areas of interest. The owner, Jennifer, was very accommodating and friendly. The staff helped arranged our Sohoton trip and lent us snorkelers for free!!

We had an electrical issue which was a bit scary since the electrical board got busted and started smoking. I was not too happy with one of the guys who seems to have a bit of an attitude--more polite with foreigners than to locals.

Great people. Great vibes. Dorms were super clean.

Location is nice, staff is great and helpful and there’s puppy’s and kittens on the property and in the common area.

Private room bed and covers were small so don’t really recommend it for two people. The apartment is spacious but the “living room” area stays pretty much unused since there are no chairs/appliances and no airco. WiFi was also not available in our room and was not consistent at all. Water did not work out last night which was a bit disappointing but we get that that’s just how the island works.
