Solvellir Holiday Home has all the comforts of home. The large windows offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape, and the hot tub was a huge plus. It had all the amenities required for a modern house. It’s conveniently located near city attractions, yet secluded enough for a peaceful getaway. I can’t wait to return!

This lodging was an unbelievable value! The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were extremely comfortable, internet/WiFi was exceptional, the scenery was fantastic and the lodging's windows offered spectacular views, access to the property was convenient, the shower was amazing, hot water and heating left nothing to be desired, the place was cozy and well decorated. This was our most comfortable stay during our 10 day trip to iceland.

Ideal location, easy to access to different parts of attractions. Cosy, clean and comfortable house, equiped with everything. Welcome from Border Collie dog was additional surprise for our kids. Best of all is hot tub in garden to close the day in Icelandic panorama. Quiet and ideal to experience islandic origininal feeling. I warmly recommend to all of you nature fanatics.

Overall stay was wonderful, we wanted to stay out of the city and it was perfect for it. But to mention we had a rented car and took some time to commute to Reykjavik and so on. Location is wonderful if you wanna spend some quite nights out in nowhere. P.s - even got to see Aurora last two nights

Remote for TV wasnt working , but it hardly bothered us and host sent us pack of chocolates to make up for it.

Fantastic location, warm, cosy, lots of facilities, welcoming, friendly owner and lovely dog that is there also! We had a fantastic time, we can’t thank you enough for such a fabulous stay!

Watch out for the trap! The smaller house (wich is actually not much more than a lousy container) has a lower standard. It has no access to the hot tub (which is actually not a whirlpool). And it is very dirty there.
