GBBackpacker Hostel was a highlight of our trip in Ubud, it basically became our home away from home and we ended up staying over 3 weeks! It was a peaceful hub that in some evenings transformed into a lovely social hub. Friends who had to move on would always come back in the evenings to hang out and we all joked how we leave to our next destinations but always end up back at this hostel. Helpful lovely staff, kitchen is super useful, lovely pool area and just all round great vibe. We love Ubud Backpacker Hostel ❤️ and its value for money. They put so much effort into making it a great stay for people and try to accommodate you and nothing is ever too much. We had so many nights to remember here thank you family x

ITStaff was kind. It has a pool and a kitchen, which is good.
The hostel is unfortunately dirty. Toilets smell of mould and was dirty, kitchen is very dirty, there was not enough soap to wash the dishes and plates/utiensiles were dirty. It’s a pity cause the place has a lot of potential.

Some strange rules like not having your backpack in the room and hot water only on for some hours of the day. The bathroom is also smelly and was always wet

The bathroom was disgusting, it was dirty and constantly wet, stank of damp so bad that it made the room smell and everything felt dirty. Beds aren’t the most comfortable and the sheet was stained. Generally not cleaned or maintained.
NLThe hostel is located in a quiet street, but still at walking distance from the centre and plenty of good restaurants and shops. It has a nice outside area and a great pool. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I met fun people at the hostel, but the one I loved most was Bobo, the owner’s golden retriever.
The bathroom is old and could have been cleaner. There was a lot of turnover during my 9-day stay and I had a feeling the sheets were not always changed in between guests.
