Wheelers Bay Apartment

The nice welcome message was adorable. The space was clean and welcoming. Patio is great, gets the sun at regular points throughout the day. Milk and tea bags on arrival was a lovely touch.

The flat is attached to the owner accommodation. Which made us feel like we were being watched.... The main factor is that it meant that every time we left their dogs barked, which in turn made our dogs bark too. This seemed to then cause the owners to message us asking us to stop the dogs from barking. They also asked us not to leave our dogs unattended whilst we were out. Something we had to do whilst we went out for dinner or taking a trip to the supermarket. (Also, it was very warm whilst we were vacationing here, so taking the dogs out in the midday heat was not something you should do). It felt like a very unreasonable request for whilst we were trying to relax on holiday. This sadly really spoiled our experience. I would recommend that if you have a problem with dogs staying in your holiday apartment, do not advertise the space as dog friendly. P.s. please fix the squeaky bed. It led to a less that comfortable nights sleep. We would not stay again unfortunately.

Very quiet location with easy parking. Very clean and well presented with a lovely balcony with a sea view; great for breakfast. At night the passing ships looked fantastic. Comfortable sitting room with plenty of space. An easy walk to the nearest pub, the Volunteer, albeit with no food and music but all the better for that with some very welcoming locals. Mini market not much further and a walk down the seafront was nice in the evening. We would use it again.

Having seen the reviews we were disappointed not to get a welcome pack - some milk would have been nice. We had to go out straight away to get some to make some tea. We understand a lot of it went to waste so can see why they no longer leave anything and we should not have assumed anything would be there. Easy enough to pick something up as you come through Ventnor if you need it. (large carpark opposite Tesco Express) Wi fi was great in the kitchen but weak in the sitting room.

We loved the location of the apartment and parking out the apartment. It’s was a quite neighbourhood and easy walk to sea front Cosy & homely loved the patio area, we had a dog with us he loved the comforts also

Well presented and comfortable apartment. Close enough to the beach and shops.

The shower temperature was on the colder side.

The apartment was done to a good standard and very comfortable lovely sea view from balcony,
