We booked this property for one night at a cost of £446 to attend Victorious Festival and were shocked by the condition when we arrived. The accommodation was absolutely filthy and completely unfit for guests, especially children. We tried to contact the numbers provided, but no one from Portsmouth stays called back... ever! Which, given that it's not the easiest place to find, may have been a problem if we didn't manage to locate it. The carpets (which I think should have been cream) were black, and the sofa was also stained, filthy, and smelly; the floors were sticky throughout. You wouldn't want to use the oven to cook anything! There's black mould in the bathroom and the kitchen fridge, and someone had also left dirty laundry in the washing machine! I don't think this apartment has seen a cleaner for a long time, if ever! It was unhygienic, uncomfortable, and bore no resemblance to the standards advertised on Booking.com. We contacted Booking.com immediately and were told they would investigate and request a refund from the property. We are still waiting for a resolution, and have heard nothing at all from Portsmouth Stays. Don't waste your money on this place, it's pretty disgusting!

Nothing. It was awful.

- The owner/ host was incredibly rude. - The pre arrival message was missing vital access information, the code to the building was then given in error restricting any access in & out of the building. - The property was hard to find, no sign posts or correct directions were given. - One of the beds wasn’t made. - The sofa bed was covered in stains & broken. - There was hair balls found on the wardrobe. - Dust was everywhere. - Washing in the washing machine. - Things left in the fridge / freezer from previous stay. - Dining room chair broken. - Bathroom had mould in it. - The area was noises & unpleasant. The whole thing was just AWFUL. The host has since ignored any contact from booking.com to issue any sort of refund. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

Cleaning and well organized

Difficult to find

- The location is good - Bedrooms and bed in room was comfortable - Tv is tiny but has netflix etc Staff and cleaners were friendly, flexible and accommodating

- The "sofa bed" is rock solid and uncomfortable to sleep on never mind sit on. Dining chairs are also wobbly - Mold around bath - This is not apartments but more like student accommodation. Constant loud noises from people in the building and banging. The lift was unhygienic.

Location

There are other reviews about the access and finding the property- what a nightmare. The owner must be aware of the reviews but has done nothing to make access easier. Student digs only. 1 star for location - if you can find it. Took us over an hour to get access to the apartment and despite agreeing and paying for a late check out, the cleaner opened the door at 10am which just added to our frustration and lack of sleep from the noise of the trains. Property needs a facelift. Not recommended.

It was very clean and well located. They also gave us our requested early check in.

The sofa bed was not very comfortable. The mattresses in the other beds were fine but a bit springy. The entrance was complicated to open using the instructions. These need to be updated to make it clearer. You could say the entry button is above the A button. The current instructions are confusing.

location's perfect, really convenient to get train station and stores.

Front door code actually is 4 NUMBERS instead of 5, we got this info from a RESIDENT living there.
