Idealer Stopp , ob auf dem Weg zum Kruger NP oder in die andere Richtung. Ruhig gelegen, mit einem tollen Frühstück. Sicherer Parkplatz und eine sehr angenehme Kommunikation vor Ort.

Zwembad water niet schoon. Inhoud lade in keuken niet volledig en er lag nog vuilnis van vorige gasten.

Sehr gepflegte und ruhige Unterkunft in Piet Retief in einer reinen Wohngegend mit schön angelegtem Garten. Das Zimmer war ansprechend eingerichtet, die Betten waren sehr bequem, das Bad war funktionell ausgestattet, alles war sehr sauber. Die technische Ausstattung und WLAN waren gut, der Parkplatz am Haus war gesichert und videoüberwacht. Das Frühstück wurde im Hauptgebäude serviert und war hinsichtlich Qualität und Quantität sehr gut. Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns im Haus Eleven wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder hier übernachten, sollte es uns wieder in diese Gegend verschlagen.

The town is a perfect stop (I.e in the middle) for traveling from Kruger to St. Lucia (or the other way around).

I don’t know what was wrong with the host, because the host gets very good reviews (in the reviews we saw prior to booking). But in our case she wasn’t interested and it seemed as if she wanted to be somewhere else (do note that it was a one night stay within prolonged Easter weekend). She seemed to expect us to know how things worked (e.g. what you can order for breakfast which was included in our booking). In our case the WiFi was down in our room and after some persistence from us, we switched rooms, which we highly appreciated but was a solution proposed by someone we needed to send a WhatsApp to (the owner?) and not the host. The switching of the rooms solved our WiFi issues.

Les extérieurs tres bien. La piscine propre mais il pleuvait. Le parking sécurisé. La salle de bain avec baignoire et douche très bien. Pour info, nous vous recommandons pour dîner le restaurant Mama Mia, le meilleur de la ville, très très bon.

Notre chambre (triple confort) n’avait pas de fenêtre, une porte vitrée avec un rideau occultant donnait sur la salle de petit déjeuner ! (Voir photo) Ce n’est pas indiqué dans le descriptif, incorrect. Cette chambre n’a aucun sens, bien que pas chère, elle discrédite l’établissement qui propose, pour qq rands de plus, d’autres chambres avec vue sur le beau jardin. Un salon cosy à la place aurait été une bonne idée…. L’accueil dans cette « maison-business » est triste, aucun échange (sans être hostile), la même personne nous a préparé un petit déjeuner standard le lendemain, sans plus. Pour une nuit ce n’est pas grave, Piet Retief n’a d’intérêt que géographiquement entre 2 étapes, on ne s’y attarde pas.
