Nice place, everything is clean, comfortable beds, directly in Thamel but quiet. Andrew is very helpfull,

The owner is nice and friendly. I can knock his door at 0400am to check-out for my sunrise tour and made it possible went to airport directly.

Nice and clean accommodation in a quiet area in the center of Thamel. Andrew is a very friendly host taking care of the place and his guests.

Room is very spacious and clean. Super comfortable bed. Good kitchen that is very convenient. Hot water and good Wi-Fi. Everything was amazing actually.

In a blue room bathroom is not attached, to get there you need to cross a hall, but it was not a big deal.

This was my third time at Andrew home. And as always, it was a very nice stay. Everything was perfect. I was picked up. My room was, as always, very clean and you have everything you need. The shared guest kitchen is a great place to socialize with other guests. It is only 10 minutes to the center of Thamel. The breakfast and dinner were very tasty. The accommodation has a nice Nepalese flair. Thanks to the host for this wonderful stay. I will definitely be back.

Location was good and bedroom was as shown in the pictures.

Andrew forgot about my reservation and was out of town when I got to his place. I had to stay in another hotel. Later he texted me and offered to stay one night for free, which I accepted as I still needed to stay in town 3 nights before my flight back. Place is very hard to find, it's a house with a lot of apartments, there is no sign that this Andrew home is anywhere in there, so I was asking a bunch of neighbors and nobody knew what I was talking about. Then Andrew came out and showed me where it is. You need to be able to call him, so if you don't have a SIM card upon arrival, it may be very complicated to find him. Then Andrew "forgot" about his promise of a free night and quoted me a price for 3 nights that was much higher than I would pay if I booked through booking.com without a free night. Eventually he figured out his "mistake" (not without my help). As a side note, everything is negotiable in Nepal, but they will try to screw you if they can because you a rich tourist and may be an excellent source of extra cash. So keep that in mind. Also, while I was staying there the kitchen was extremely dirty, tons of dirty stinking dishes were all over the place and nobody was cleaning it. The whole place stunk of a stale curry. Buckets with dirty clothes in the shower. I don't know if that is because he had guests in the other room that did not clean after themselves or it's a normal occurrence

Cheap accomodation.

No chance to find accomodation by yourself (no information outside) Host must meet you, othrrwise you cant entrr the houe - 3 lockable doors. No big privacy in the room - all sounds, voices easily heard from the corridor.
