The Otaki Motel was great for our one-night stop. Some parts of our room were renovated (bathroom and new carpet), but some still needed work (kitchen area). Despite the worn areas, every area was clean. The location is quiet, yet convenient to town (full of outlet stores for outdoor gear and clothing!) and excellent bakeries (BlackHood Bakes) and the highway. The receptionist and the cleaning team (owners??) were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The bed was a little too soft for my husband.

Despite being right beside the main road, it was surprisingly quiet. The outlook was lovely onto grass and trees... really appreciated it.

I liked everything, but you do need to understand that these units are in the process of being renovated - the kitchen was clean and well appointed, but, for example, cupboards etc were worn.
