Hotel GrandBach Sendai

Our room was very comfortable and kept nice and clean. The hotel is a nice easy walk from Sendai station, there’s plenty of convenience stores around including a 7-11 in the ground floor which is helpful for getting cash out in the mornings. There’s also plenty of nice restaurants very nearby. The rooms have smart TVs with streaming apps available to log into.

There aren’t separate lifts between the ground floor and the lobby and the lobby and the rooms, because the lobby is on the 7th floor this can mean you are waiting for a lift for a considerable amount of time. Several times I was waiting for 4-5 minutes for a lift between the laundry room and our room which was only two floors below.

Location, clean and comfortable

The hotel room was spacious and comfortable. It was larger than typical Japanese hotel rooms. Our children found the space welcoming and enjoyed the extra sofa area. The large window was great for people watching and the lounge service was always a nice treat when we were arriving or leaving the hotel for the day. We also thoroughly enjoyed the live music every day.

The hotel was a bit further than we expected from the station, but overall, not very far unless you have tired kids. Sometimes, the elevator wait was a bit long, but it can't be helped.
