Entire Apartment Tonbridge Centre

Location was great for where me and my family wanted to visit.

Communication with the host wasn't great and there were a couple of things that they had failed to tell us and then weren't truthful about. For some reason I had booked for 2 adults and a child but when we arrived only 2 adults had been booked so there wasn't sufficient bedding or towels. (This could be a booking.com error.) Once in the flat there were too many things that became apparent that did not reflect in the price of the stay. Dirty mop left in bathroom, tea towel for hand towel, broken bath screen, dirty sponges and cupboard in kitchen, uncomfortable and almost broken sofa bed, really smokey smell in bedroom. There were so many stickers put up to tell visitors to 'keep the toilet dry,' do not move bath screen' or not 'stand on footrest of chair', just found really unnecessary. The quiet hours were also stated as between 9pm-7am, however the upstairs neighbours were noisy on our 1st night. We were so tired by the end of our stay for lack of sleep. I was really happy for the location but this place is one we will not be returning to.

-Car space hard to get in and out of -wasn’t told about steep steps once inside -not up to cleanliness standards in kitchen : dish scrubbers disgusting and overall not cleaned in cupboards, inside or out , counter cracked near hob - bathroom had black mould on tiles and glass shower grouting -dregs of shamoo/shower gel (could have a better set up) - two or three message strips stuck to tiles in shower and sink saying keep toilet dry and do not move this glass shower door …really shouldn’t insult guests with these messages ! -tea towel as hand towel and only one for two people , not impressed - sofa makeshift fixed before we got there -bedroom bed not big enough for two people and front room sofa not suitable, had no choice but to use it and wasn’t very comfortable / sheets don’t really fit on this sofa and bedding extremely cheap -I can send photos of most of what I’ve mentioned - I would not return and would not recommend …feel I paid way too much for this even at Christmas.

Bathroom could do with some updating

good central location, allocated parking space on site. Host was charming and helpful. Flat was well-provided throughout with provisions, toiletries etc with good and thoughtful furnishings. Plenty of heating on demand (although couldn't get bathroom radiator working). Couldn't hear the High Street due to good double-glazing

Bathroom really needs an uplift, plus porcelain behind toilet seat was not clean and shower screen was bad. It is not enough to put a sign on it to say, don't try and move the screen, but remove and redo the manky sigamastic imperfectly fixing it to the bath, or even better, fit a new one. The bath panel ledge was very dusty, too. The host kindly asked if we wished the sofa bed set up, which we did. However it was a 'drop the back' kind which meant there was then a hard rail in the middle of the bed, and was far too uncomfortable to sleep on. It was overall too short for my 6ft+ son. Suggest change to a pull out bed. We didn't stay overnight, but drove home instead. I've marked down value-for-money due to the bathroom, but I've not added photos as trying to be fair, don't want to totally put people off as otherwise it is a decent stay

Whilst the apartment was clean, the staircase outside the apartment was not of that standard.

Very accommodating, helpful and welcoming host. Our host sent us clear directions which map annotations to make it easy to locate parking. The apartment was very clean. It was right in the middle of town and also close to shops, the library and public transport. I would gladly book again
