In the centre of the old medina, and yet peaceful and quiet The breakfasts were delicious and the staff most attentive. They could not do enough for us. The interiors were comfortable and spacious and the courtyard was cool even in the heat.

The stairs up to the queen room that we had were steep and twisty without hand rails. The pool was a bit cloudy and uninviting.The roof terrrsce was good if you wanted to sunbathe although very hot.

Riad Kitula was an excellent place to stay for a few days. It is really well located for the action in Medina, and for many of the sights, yet close enough to the edge to make going on tours elsewhere quick and easy. The building was charming, and really characterful. As were the rooms. It was clean and well maintained. It felt genuine and like being whisked back several decades. Bathtubs, fittings etc all had charm. It was a clam, tranquil haven in the hustle and bustle, and noise of the Medina! Breakfast was delicious. Above all the staff were really helpful and exceptionally pleasant - the service and friendliness were really welcome for us as visitors.

Nothing really....water went out for a few minutes on a couple of occasions. Not the Riad's fault. One or two minor things needed maintenance but no deal breakers.

Ground floor rooms can be quite noisy once breakfast time starts but nothing too bad.

The staff were so hospitable and attentive - they made our experience so amazing and were always on hand to help. The breakfast provided at the Riad each morning was also exceptional, such a lovely spread of fruits, pastries, yoghurts. The room was a great size and the beds were very comfortable. The location was also perfect distance from all major sights, restaurants and bars. Can’t recommend enough!

The room was lovely however wasn’t well ventilated, which meant it did have quite a musty smell. The hairdryer also didn’t work too well and would recommend bringing your own.

This place is truly exceptional, with some of the best hospitality we’ve experienced. The manager, Samir, was incredibly kind and helpful, and he and his staff consistently went above and beyond for us. A few examples: 1. We left early one morning for a hot air balloon excursion, and when we returned, Samir was genuinely concerned that we had missed breakfast. 2. The amlou served at breakfast was amazing. On our last day, I texted Samir asking where he bought it from, and he personally bought 9 bottles for us and even delivered them to the second riad we stayed at. 3. On the last day of our trip, my friend’s luggage lock got stuck. The receptionist at Dar Bonita was no help, so I reached out to Samir. He went out of his way to find a locksmith, and all we had to do was leave the luggage at the riad while we visited the YSL Museum. He handled everything for us. 4. Dar Bonita also messed up our airport transfer despite us confirming it in advance. Panicking, I contacted Samir, and he immediately arranged a car for us that same evening. He even sent a porter to collect our luggage from Dar Bonita. Returning to Riad Kitula felt like coming home — we were welcomed with tea and biscuits, and it was such a comforting experience. Overall, the staff here truly make you feel at home. Samir didn’t have to help with our luggage issue, airport transfer, restaurant recommendations, or amlou delivery, but he did it all so generously and without hesitation. If you’re looking for warm hospitality, spacious and clean rooms, and genuinely caring staff, stay here.
