Casa Kapuas

Booked Casa Kapuas based on all the great reviews about this place but also because everyone was gushing about the host named Tan! Turns out they were right! We were welcomed with refreshing dragonfruit smoothies and treated like family from the second we got there, which made it really hard to leave. Mornings were roosters, cows lounging in the field, and a delicious breakfast that we looked forward to getting out of bed for (especially the fresh pineapple juice). The villa itself is beautiful, clean, air conditioning on point, and super peaceful, but Tan is what makes the place. He’s funny, easygoing, and just genuinely a great host. He also just started his first clothing line, and I ended up being one of his first customers. If there’s any of his merch left while you’re there - make sure to scoop it up - you’ll want something to remember the place (and him) by 😊

Absolutely nothing

I had an amazing time and felt so welcome here. The room is super comfortable with everything you need, including free water. The outdoor bathroom is beautiful, and the hammocks outside are the ultimate spot to chill. The Staff is super nice and welcoming! Their hospitality is unmatched, they are incredibly helpful and gave the best recommendations. I even got a sweet little parting gift when I left! Perfect Location in a quieter part of Gili T but close to great restaurants and everything is easily accessible by foot or bike. Plus, there are some very cute resident cats! I would definitely book this place again when I’m back on the island. Everything was great!

Since it’s a tropical island, the rooms aren't 100% "sealed off" from the outside, so an occasional insect can visit, but that is normal for Gili T.

Had the most amazing stay here, Tan the host was so welcoming and helpful he even sent me a List of recommendations for things to do and places eat which was great, the rooms were lovely and clean and the whole vibe was nice. Tan even gave me and my friend a lucky braclet before we left which I thought was a nice touch, would definitely recommend.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The place was clean, stylish and comfortable. The pool was a bonus!
