Spean Lodge

Spean Lodge was our first B& B experience in Scotland. and boy - the place set a high standard! the Lodge itself is very beautiful surrounded by a fantastic garden. the room was big enough, comfortable beds and good size bathroom. the absolute highlight of the place is the Lounge room where guests can meet in the evening and take a sip of Whiskey. we met lovely people there! what makes the place so special is the owner and host, Paul. super nice and very helpful. he is the heart and soul of the place! plus: we enjoyed the best breakfast we had during our holiday - creamy porridge, fluffy eggs… and the chef was ready to go to some lengths to fulfill our requests. this is a place we’re guests feel absolutely welcome!

The apartment was cozy and quaint. Location was good for our needs. The Owner greeted us when we arrived and was helpful on things to do and see in the area.

The stay at Spean Lodge was something very special. You can feel the love that went into the design of the rooms and recognize it in the details. The rooms are lovingly and comfortably furnished. The cleanliness was impeccable. In addition to the rooms, there is a cozy common room with a fireplace, which invites you to get together in the evening. The delicious breakfast is individually and freshly prepared for everyone. Paul, the owner of the lodge, is an exceptionally friendly and courteous host! Nothing was left to be desired during our stay. We would gladly return to Spean Lodge at any time. :)

Spean Lodge is the best B&B we stayed at during our two week trip to Ireland, London, and Scotland. The host, Paul, is very attentive to our needs and gracious not only when we arrived, but during evening interactions in the cheerful lounge with candles and a fire going. The included breakfast was exceptionally good. The main lodge is very well looked after with tasteful and varied decor throughout. The bathrooms were modern and obviously updated recently.

Nothing I didn’t like!

Paul is a wonderful host who makes you feel very comfortable in his beautiful and tastefully furnished and decorated house. We enjoyed our breakfast with real candle light and a fireplace. There is a large lounge for guests with another fireplace where we spent our evenings wirh a good glass of whisky and pleasant conversations with Paul and other guests. Paul is always commited in giving helpful recommendations for activities, trips and restaurants. We highly recommend this extraordinary B&B to everyone who wants to discover the southern Highlands. You will really enjoy it.

Nothing to mention

Guests receive a very warm welcome from the owner, Paul. His communication is excellent, and nothing is too much trouble , for him to make the guests' stays comfortable. The room was very comfortable and spotless, and breakfast was delicious.

I couldnt fault it

Lovely cosy wee apartment, loved the river right next to us. Log fire place was a hit. Close to all you need. Paul right on hand if needed.

We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed our time there. Paul is a great host. The breakfast was excellent.

The property, interior and everything about Spean Lodge was absolutely wonderful. Paul greeted us by the door, helped us carry our luggage upstairs and made sure we were taken care of from the second we got there. The room and bathroom were perfectly clean and in great condition. Breakfast was amazing (I especially appreciated the fresh fruit salad) and we enjoyed after-dinner drinks in the gorgeous living room upstairs. We'll definitely recommend this to our friends and will try to come for another visit ourselves.

The only minor improvement could be the water pressure of the shower - just a tiny bit low but overall not at all bothersome.
