Griffin Inn

Great location for what we wanted. Staff on checking in were nice and friendly and explained things se needed to know. I checked about the gluten free breakfast again, this was confirmed. Bedsheets and bathroom were clean. Bed was some what comfortable. Lovely that we could park on site. Would use again as price was good, other than breakfast waitress, staff we met were lovely.

After emailing and checking breakfast was gluten free and confirming by telephone. When we got down for breakfast the lady waitress, said it would of been nice to know this information. When I replied it was confirmed via email and telephone. Her reply was curt and said they wouldn't know what was being cooked in the kitchen or the stock they had. As it was the breakfast was gluten free. It was cooked fresh apparently, quite greasy but edible and luke warm rather than hot but we didn't want to complain as we felt it wouldn't have mattered. Our room was nice enough, not thoroughly cleaned, we had to clean the desk and chair and there was mould on the ceiling above the curtains and bed. See pictures. We didn't complain as we were going to be out all afternoon and evening and not getting in until early hours. Up early, for breakfast and leave.

It was a great pint at a good price and food was lovely. All round great hotel and having car parking was. A good plus

Was a there hot weekend and could have done with aircon in the rooms Even was the window open all night We still had to sleep on top of the made bed to get some sleep
