The host Sri makes ALL the difference here! The room itself is simple but spacious, with a proper shower box and hot water (no A/C needed in Kandy anyway), and a super breakfast, but what truly sets this place apart is Sri's incredible hospitality. Located 10 minutes by tuk-tuk from the center, it's great value for money. Sri went above and beyond - sharing his fridge, providing ayurvedic remedies when my partner was unwell, booking cultural dance shows at the best seats, giving endless helpful advice, and even driving us to the bus station for free when we left. He also helped organize activities for our next destinations through his contacts. Sri embodies the warm Sri Lankan spirit and his genuine care made our stay memorable. Highly recommended for travelers who value authentic hospitality over luxury amenities!

The house is located down a narrow, steep road - one tuk-tuk driver refused to go down (though others had no issues). However, the neighborhood is very safe for walking, and we discovered that accessing from the other side offers a wider, gentler route through beautiful rice fields. Don't miss the spectacular walk to the right when leaving the house - it's like having your own private scenic viewpoint!

Peaceful location which gave a good respite away from the bustle of the town. Well looked after by the host, lovely breakfast. Helped with booking train tickets from Kandy - Ella on the day, which we were very thankful for as had been messed about by another provider! Nice bathroom, with hot shower.

Our room didn’t have curtains on the window, which if you’re sensitive to light, then best to bring an eye mask. But this also meant the room was nice and light during the day time.

De eigenaar Sri is heel vriendelijk! Zorgt goed voor je en geeft je de nodige tips. Accomodatie was groot en schoon. Ontbijt was elke ochtend heerlijk. Het is iets van het centrum (voor ons op loopafstand), maar daardoor wel heel rustig gelegen in de natuur. Douche met warm water.

De accomodatie(s) zijn onderling verbonden met een tussendeur waardoor het wat gehoriger is. Wij hebben hier verder geen hinder van ondervonden. Een klamboe was nog een mooie toevoeging geweest in de accomodatie.

Stanza pulita, atmosfera accogliente in famiglia! La mattina è possibile scegliere tra 4 tipi di colazione, ne abbiamo provate due entrambe abbondanti e buone! siamo stati una notte nella camera con il balcone ed altre due notti nell’altra. Quest’ultima stanza è ampia e ben tenuta, ma quella con il balcone è molto più atmosferica! Il proprietario ci ha dato molti buoni consigli su come visitare Kandy. Struttura consigliata

Niente! La posizione è raggiungibile dal centro solo con tuk tuk ma non è un vero problema.

Pulitissima camera in mezzo alla natura, accoglienza speciale, ci hanno fatto sentire parte della famiglia. Grazie di cuore!

I had a wonderful stay here! The host was incredibly kind and welcoming – he even came to pick me up from the train station when I arrived and when I leaved which was such a thoughtful gesture. The breakfasts were very delicious, with very good fruitsalad (on the beautiful balcony), and he truly took great care of me during my time here. He also gave me very helpful tips for traveling around Sri Lanka, which made my trip even better. If you're looking for a warm, authentic, and peaceful place to stay, I highly recommend this place. You'll feel right at home!

The host is very friendly and approachable, will give you suggestions for places to visit in Kandy, where to shop, and always tries to make sure you're comfortable. I also did a tour to Pindurangala, Dambulla and Spice Garden which was very nice. The room is comfortable and you can have a delicious home made breakfast on the balcony 🙂 It's only a 10min tuk tuk drive from the center.
