Kea Retreat was lovely! it was so nice to have all the small touches thought about and provided - lovely body wash, cleaning products, a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need and more, finally decent coffee, lovely towels and linen, kids activities and games, washing machine and dryer and all within easy walking distance to town. Everything was super close and we loved our stay. We would love to come back sometime.

We had the best stay in South Island here at the Kea Retreat. Our host Iona and Graham were superb. The property is in a pristine condition and excellently managed. We enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. Would love to stay again.

"A granny flat managed by a rude host"

Great location, short walk to shops and restaurants. Well-equipped with essential amenities. Clean and cosy.

The accommodation is simply a granny flat built in someone's backyard. Don't expect an actual house/unit. Rude host that will come knocking at the door to evict you at 10am sharp. Impolite and unpleasant encounter with the host.
