L’accueil de nos 2 hôtes qui ont envie de nous faire apprécier leur maison et les environs de Rotorua. Quelle gentillesse et dévouement. Petit déjeuner copieux, généreux, fait maison et différent chaque matin (nous sommes restés 4 jours) Havre de paix, dans un environnement calme et dont le jardin est très bien entretenu, la sérénité se sent à chaque instant. Le jacuzzi dans ce jardin est un plus indéniable.

Partir, le lieu et les hôtes donnent envie de rester beaucoup plus longtemps.

Lovely quiet location, good tips from Peter for visiting Wai-o-Tapu, and we loved the hot tub.

We hadn't realized the bathroom was across the hall. Not really a problem, but we'd have preferred an ensuite.

Clean and quiet with beautiful gardens and security cameras to ensure safety. Comfy beds, even motion sensing lights for those that need to tiptoe to the bathroom overnight ;-) , big healthy breakfast too! Peter and Mike are exquisite hosts.

Slight smell from nearby thermal parks if the wind blew the right way- but I just shut the windows if it got enough to bother me!

As shown in the photos, the garden is beautiful and the home is clean and well maintained. We had a car and appreciated the off‑street parking, and we found the location convenient for our activities. It’s about a 35‑minute walk to town or a 6‑minute drive. If you do drive, I recommend asking the hosts for clarification about the downtown pay‑parking system — we found it a bit confusing. The Wi‑Fi worked well, and breakfast was fresh and plentiful. We especially enjoyed the variety of homemade jams. We stayed in the bedroom without the ensuite and didn’t mind having the bathroom across the hall. The temperature in the room was too warm for us, even with the windows open, but the fan was very quiet, which we appreciated.

I don’t view this section as a place to complain, but rather to help future guests understand what may or may not work for them. We are responsible, respectful, well-traveled adults who are comfortable in a wide range of accommodations. We were surprised by the number of signs, stickers, and lists of dos and don’ts. Instead of the warm, homey atmosphere we typically associate with a B&B, the environment felt more like a structured hotel with very specific expectations for guest behavior. While the hosts were polite, we didn’t experience a particularly warm or welcoming feeling. For these reasons, we would choose a different place in the future. Also, if you are traveling with children, I would not consider this place. We do expect we will get backlash from our comments and low overall score, based on reading their responses to past unfavorable comments.
