Sogor Female Dormitory

The staff was really nice, the dorm was clean, confortable and modern.

It was really clean and spacious. Fellow female travellers were nice and friendly. It felt like a house more than a hostel. CP was really friendly too! This is probably the best hostel I've ever stayed in!

Nice to meet others girls, the host CP was a star (so helpful) and amazing that you could do laundry.

The beds were a little bit too hard, didn’t slept very good. Also the ac (at no fault of the host), but some who stayed there had it way too cold.

After weeks of traveling, Sogor Dorm was a perfect place to rest, recollect, and reorganize myself. It’s strange to say, but it’s been the closest thing to home I’ve experienced while on the road. Everything felt clean, comfortable - simply easy. I had the perfect amount of my own space and never felt cramped. Bathroom/showers were great, and the opportunity to do my own laundry with both a dryer and space to hang felt downright luxurious. I wouldn’t call Sogor a large hostel in size or guests, but it never felt small. It’s designed well, with high ceilings and a dressing room. I easily met and explored a bit of Georgetown with all sorts of female travelers. CP, Sogor’s Manager, was also very kind and helpful. She gave me a few great recommendations on what to see and I’m glad I took her advice. She was also responsive on WhatsApp and rescued me when I did manage to lock my keycard /inside/ locker on my final night. Thank you, CP!

The only thing less than perfect is Sogor’s location. It’s slightly outside of central Georgetown but it was never an issue for me.

The hostel is super nice, clean and comfy! There is a lot space for your staff and yourself. I really liked to stay in this hostel. You can use the washing my machine and dryer and just give a donation. Also the owner is super nice and friendly. She will always help you with everything she can!

The Sogor was a highlight in my travels, a super well organised place where you felt right at home! Very easy to make new friends since most of the people were female solo travellers! Good vibes and very clean!

The location is not very central, but still easy to walk!

It’s very clean and comfortable and love that it’s female only. Also very big and spacious. Tip based laundry with an area to hang clothes is a big plus!!There were a lot of other solo travelers and because the beds are all in one area it’s very easy to meet others and more social than I expected it to be. The owner is so sweet and comes by during the day to clean. Would highly recommend staying here if you’re a budget traveler and don’t want to stay at the other party hostels offered on Hostelworld.

It’s not located on backpacker row so it’s like a 30 min walk to downtown. I ended up using grab all the time because it was so cheap though. The beds at the end near the bathroom have to deal with the bright light and noise of the bathroom when other guests are up late at night. The air con/fan also doesn’t reach the end as well and WiFi isn’t as good the further away you are from the entry room. Nonetheless I was still comfortable and turned down the temperature more so that it was cooler in the evening when I was sleeping.

An all female hostel! This place is incredibly clean, wonderfully maintained and private. Everyone was so friendly and the staff really fosters a sense of belonging

The distance from downtown Georgetown is about a 30min walk.
