In a quiet location but only 10 mins from the beach, with lovely grounds. Accommodation is beautifully designed and carefully thought out. Danaith, our host was most welcoming and was available to help with transport and any other questions. Great breakfasts and Danaith not only arranged a massage for us, him and his wife cooked us a fantastic meal one evening. Highly recommended.

This was easily one of the loveliest places we’ve ever stayed, made even more special by Damith—the kindest, most hospitable host! When my husband and I stumbled upon this place, we knew it would be the perfect getaway for our anniversary trip. It looks exactly like the pictures—tucked away in lush greenery, down a quiet little alley in Talpe. You’d never expect a spot this peaceful, surrounded by nature, to be so close to the beach! We walked everywhere, and whenever we wanted to venture further, Damith helped us find a reliable tuk-tuk driver. Speaking of Damith—when I mentioned it was our anniversary, he messaged saying he would “arrange something.” We arrived to find the hut where breakfast is served decorated with balloons wishing us a happy anniversary! He even got us a cake to celebrate, which made our trip feel even more special. And the breakfasts he whips up every morning? Incredible. From traditional Sri Lankan dishes like egg hoppers to continental options, everything was delicious. My favorite was his omelets—I looked forward to them every morning. There’s also another villa right next to this one, which Damith had just opened in December 2024. We got a chance to take a look, and it’s absolute perfection as well! We always love staying in places like this—ones created with love by the locals themselves. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing stay, I cannot recommend this place enough!

Breakfast was varied and delicious. Location was perfect, close enough to the beach but away from the main road. Seeing a troop of monkeys in the garden a bonus !

Damith is such a kind host and always willing to help you enjoy your trip. I found the Cabana comfortable and clean and the bed was great. My favorite thing, however, were the gigantic breakfasts that Damith makes every morning. So filling that I rarely had to eat lunch!

Villa Ovita is easily reached from Talpe railway station and Damith was waiting for us at the gate. It is a private jardin with a beautiful and calm atmosphere, and if you enjoy quietness and simplicity, this is your place to stay in Talpe. Damith took perfect care of us and even provided us some bicycles when needed. A big plus is all the animals wandering around the jardin and Romi-dog taking care of the security!

This little paradise was probably the most beautiful accommodation we have ever had on our countless trips. The owner, Damith, has lovingly planted and decorated the entire property, from the house to the garden, so that you can only feel at home. It was also great for us to have the lovely dog Romi and his ducks and rabbits around us. We were greeted with a delicious drink and the breakfast was absolutely outstanding. Even after a month in Sri Lanka, he was still able to surprise us with new delicacies. The house itself is fantastic, the bed very comfortable and we really liked the bathroom with the waterfall shower. This accommodation is something for anyone who doesn't like staying in hotels and appreciates peace and privacy, which you have plenty of here. The fantastic Thalpe beach is a five-minute walk away. Here, too, you can unwind and hardly any tourists find their way here. Instead, you can watch the locals fishing and relaxing. There are also plenty of good restaurants here for a delicious meal in the evening. This accommodation is something special and we can only recommend it to everyone.

This place is amazing. Perfect place for a calm and peaceful holiday. Close to Talpe Beach. The owner of this place was very friendly and very supportive. Helped a lot to make our vacation a great one. We got the whole cottage with a kitchen and a beautiful garden. Had a lovely dinner in this perfect garden with a great vibe. Even the owner joined us to share his knowledge and insight with us on our invite to the dinner table, Which was a great discussion indeed. Had a great tasty breakfast in the morning as well. Loved the stay and recommend this place to everyone who looking for a peaceful, calm holiday with good vibes 😁😍😍😍
